Several comments I have viewed and read by those who are obviously in the twenty-something group have caused feelings of sadness, disgust, and downright disappointment at where our country is going.
I watched some “man on the street” interviews about what Thanksgiving meant to those being interviewed. The responses, for the most part, sickened me. None of them had anything to do with thanking God for the blessings He has poured out on our nation or for the many individual blessings most of us enjoy.
It did not seem as though these people who are too young to have any real ‘life experiences’ had any love at all for the freedoms they enjoy. Instead, it appeared that they were all simply spewing the liberal/progressive opinions that were (obviously) successfully implanted into their empty little heads.
The comments were all about how the nasty colonists came here and were equal to Hitler in what they did to this land and those original inhabitants of what we now call North America. We were heartless and cruel butchers and enslavers – nothing more, and we certainly should do away with this barbaric celebration of our actions. It appears that these youthful bubble-heads with no track record of their own have been taught to simply degrade, belittle, and destroy what their ancestors have made possible for them.
Yes, we, as a nation, have made some big mistakes along the way (slavery was probably our biggest national shame). And, yes, we have been very wrong in some of our earlier decisions as a nation; but how dare these people who, as of now, have contributed absolutely nothing to anyone other than themselves. Where they are, at this point in their young lives, has been made possible at the expense of their parents or various scholarships and grants that have paid their way through their educational ‘enlightenment’ years on an American (liberal) campus.
When I look at all that is going on today, whether the Hamas/Israeli conflict, people demanding their ‘free stuff’ from those who actually contribute to the financial operation of our nation, the union bosses determined to completely demolish capitalism and the very companies from which they extract their dollars, or punks beating up people in shopping malls simply because they have no life of their own – it makes me sad for America. Frankly, it makes me want to puke in disgust and rise up and start swinging in anger.
An obviously (I am not speaking as a ‘sour grapes’ conservative, but simply as one who has studied the data) rigged election has only added fuel to the fire for those who do not want a helping hand up and out – but simply want to protect their turf that will provide a handout “for themselves and their posterity.” That is a very far cry from what our Founding Fathers spelled out in our Constitution and its Preamble, along with our Bill of Rights. But for the ‘gimmies’ in our nation, both legal and illegal – as well as our President – the Constitution and those other trivial documents obviously have no purpose in their ‘enlightened’ new world order.

Thank you for putting in to words the way I feel also! It’s very sad that the young college crowd has been taught by many communist like professors, my baby sister being one of those!
It still boggles my little mind at how long communism has been in America! The more I read the more I learn how many of those vermin have been working in the background for so long. They have brainwashed most of the open minds of the poor kids!
My mom and I always wondered what happen to my sister, now we know and I understand her much better than I ever have. The thing that totally blew my mind was she graduated from the same university in Seattle that obummers mother attended.
No wonder we are in the sad shape we are now!
They also taught her that the Bible was just an old fairy tale. That has upset our whole family!
I know how you feel, we have four grown kids and can’t even speak about b.o. to them. I thought by putting them through college they would be better off for it !! I feel as through some one died…….
Our schools have been slandering our Founding Fathers for decades. In other words, they don’t teach our kids the truth about our Founding Fathers — that they were God-fearing men who believed in My God and My Country. George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, Abraham Lincoln never forgot God. That’s why they won the wars they fought. The problem in America today is that we have forgotten God.
How has it happened that the ’20 somethings’ think they ‘know it all’? Those who I find the most obnoxious are those who have been given everything, by parents who worked hard to be able to and before long, let their children take THEM over and agree with everything they say and do! Joann523 and Mountaine, I feel so sad for you. I see that the lack of US History education from dau one in public schools has a lot to do with it. They haven’t a clue as to what gave them the priviledges they have or the millions of Patriots who gave their lives to preserve it and still do, every day, in foreign lands, where the people don’t comprehend a different life to what they have. These brave men and women are voluntarily doing it every day for all of you punks. Well, I can tell all of you spoiled brats, your babies, both boys and girls, now, will be subject to the draft if you continue to support Obama and his minions, who sadly, are all over the world. I wonder how many of them will ever read our words and understand our feelings.
When I was 16 or so (in the 70′s) my dad said that colleges had become a breeding ground for communists and atheists. That liberal professors were indoctrinating our youth with their radical ideas and that we would one day become like the third world nations they idealized. He also said that a large portion of college students were unprepared and were pursuing what amounted to a remedial course of high school studies.
I remember my father talking about the “Arrogance of Youth” and the hippies of the 70′s. Well he was right and today’s youth will also grow into knowledge as we of that era also did.. However today’s youth just may be the “greatest generation” as they are the ones who will have to deal with the boot in your face Communism, civil war & social injustice on a scale none of us that are living have had to up until this point.
They will learn and their education will be very difficult & expensive, much more so than ours ever was. The old adage is true that those who do not study and learn history are doomed to repeat it. Eastern Europe in the mid 1940′s makes the current mideast look like a Shriner’s convention.

You seem to have fallen into the same shallow trap which says “I will not go to church because of all of the hypocrites there.” If that is your logic, you might want to not go to a doctor when you ill .. or call a plumber when your drain is clogged … or a furnace person when your heating unit has malfunctioned. because any or all of them may be one of those hypocrites too. Let go of your bitterness and give thanks to God (with a “big G”) because you can still speak your mind. If that is ever suppressed, it will not be GOD who does it, but the likes of the liberal/progressive socialists who are determined to wreck our nation and the world.

It is amazing to me that when someone brings up ‘black’ slavery as this countries shame they either don’t know or are blind to the fact that slavery was the world’s labor force for eons, and believe it or not, all colors had a share in it. This country wasn’t the first or the baddest example of it. It was what the world did and still does in lots of places. But now, because he is black, I guess it is o.k. for Obama-types to trade on their own folks racism because someone else did it. Doesn’t matter what color you are everybody is racist to a point. Its always been here and always will.
Slavery was a liberal theory as a reason for a power grab by the Confederacy government. This theory is largely due to the fact that many people feel this is more justifiable. The real reason for the Civil War was State’s rights. Slavery was the main catalyst for public reasoning. Never forget that Lincoln himself stated that if he could keep the southern states from seceding by allowing the institution of slavery to continue, he would. Lincoln’s sole reason for going to war was to preserve the Union.

Jeremiah prophesied of “the generation of [God's] wrath.” If this new generation of mostly mindless and self-indulgent kids, who by and large cannot muster up one critical thought on their own (and yes, they are but the product of the previous generation, we are not without fault) is not the generation of God’s wrath then I would be greatly surprised. John the Baptist said to the Pharisees who came to his baptism, “O, generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?” How appropriate should his words be to the people of today.
