Conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh is criticizing Fox News host Glenn Beck over Beck’s criticisms of the Republican Party at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Saturday.
At that event, Beck said he has “not heard the people in the Republican Party yet admit they have a problem” and said that he doesn’t “know what they stand for.
“I would not have said that the only people who can stop Obama, Republicans, should be excoriated for being just as bad,” Limbaugh said on his radio show. “I don’t know how you can say…that the Republicans are just as bad as the Democrats. It would never occur to me to say that. I don’t know what the objective would be.”
The incident is the latest demonstration of Beck’s unique position in the political landscape. A hero in the Tea Party movement, he’s not shy about criticizing Republicans.

Beck is right. The GOP is as big a mess as the DEMs. It is just as full of CAREER POLITICIANS as is the Democratic Party. It has the same think about self collection of politicians that have done very little for America in a lot of yours but they have made sure that they are all wealthy.
Point of fact, John McCain has been in way too long and my desire is that he does not get reelected. He has lived off of his war hero status for too many years and he is really not a conservative, but more of a moderate leaning left.
So, I agree with Beck, he is correct again. Limbaugh has the problem of being so entrenched in the GOP that he has no choice but to side with them against Beck..
Watch what continues to happen and that is those that do not put America first will be replaced with those that do, regardless of party affiliation.
I think you're well aware that if John McCain chooses to retire, or the voters of Arizona don't reelect him, chances are he'll be one Senator from AZ. Sen. Kyl talks of retiring. That puts one AZ Sen. seat up for grabs.
Sorry, but I disagree about Limbaugh. I think he's his own man, but he definitely doesn't relate to Democrat theory.
I agree with Rush much of the time. But in this case I believe Rush is Wrong! Any thinking person knows that it is "Progressivism" within BOTH parties that has been sinking the American ship. It's high time we call it what it is. The Republicans are much more salvageable than the Democrats but both parties have led this country into ruin. Beck is right on this one.

Maybe Beck is getting tooo big for his britches?? He certainly "split" them by trashing Medina from Texas when he called her on his radio show. He was terrible to her and made FUN of her—not very gentlemanly. I don't agree that we need a third party and I belong to a LARGE tea party in Texas and no one here is saying we need a third party. Work to improve the GOP–we can take it over and make it good. We are at fault for letting the GOP get so bad—can't blame anyone but us voters!!
Start from the grassroots – School board, mayor, etc. in your own town—make sure you get conservatives elected.
I think Beck is beginning to feel the pressure of working for Muslims who have little or no use for the GOP. It started when he slammed the good people of this country insisted on Obama obeying our Constitution's requirements for eligibility for the office of president. He scoffed at us who want to see proof in the form of a LEGAL and legitimate original birth certificate. The Democrats made John McCain show his birth certificate BEFORE even the primaries were held. Why didn't they ask for Obama's??? Maybe they KNEW he wasn't qualified; ever think of that?
But since the Saudi's bought into FoxNews ownership, O'Reilly and Beck and Shepard Smith have been very unfriendly towards good Americans who only want the truth to be told.
For a long time I have thought that Beck is the one to save our country. He has brought up facts that are not known by many of us and I thank him for that but there are some things that he along with O'Reilly and the rest of FOX are complicent in and that is the credibility of Obama's birth as an American. O'Reilly has many times said "he knows" but I along with millions of others just as smart and as much in the know think otherwise. What has Fox been warned about? And by whom? Now back to Rush, while I can give a ton of blame to the (R'S) and must be removed the (D'S) are worse. They are selling us to the United Nations and the New World Order. Don't know what may happen down the road but I suspect that there could be even be a civil war if this keeps going the way it is pointed right now
Shepard Smith has inclined to the left for a long time. I had to notice the tendency because it's unusual for the Southern man that Shep is. Beck is not predictable unless you're looking for unpredictable, but he does fire volleys at Soros. In my book, that excuses Beck from his other wierd stuff. O'Reilly has developed into a ratings chaser and he very seldom takes on anyone. A great loss, because there was a different O'Reilly at another time. You didn't mention Hannity, maybe because he has not deviated from Conservative consistency. He's solid Conservative.
Interesting even more are the Conservatives on Fox Business channel. A pleasant surprise!
ONE NEWS NOW! best source of news! http://www.World Net Daily.com first rate reporting! FLOYD is the best! IMPEACH OBAMA ! long live FLOYD BROWN! http://www.Faith2Action.org American Family Association!
I have to go with Rich Cox on the call. Progressives are on both sides of the political spectrum but worse than that they are in the federal court system. There is a problem and it is not going to be fixed by anything but a clearing of both houses of the contempt for OUR constitution as well as the courts.
Well, not a single GOP voted for the Health Care in the Senate or the HOUSE??? on the House??? The GWBush did hurt us. But the MSM is the worst influence and deceptive. FOX is also controlled by it's shareholders who are from SAUDI ARABIA and it looks fr the next post that S.A. and the Muslim control will only intensify in the USA!
I agree with RShelton. I'm sick of the GOP! They send me surveys to fill out (which I promptly put in the round basket under the kitchen sink) saying they champion conservative values! Can you believe these guys? Who are they trying to kid? Bush was an open borders, big spending president. McCain is an open borders, Teddy Rosevelt progressive. I could go on and on but you get the point. We need an overhaul and the answer is NOT in the GOP.
I agree that there is fault in both parties for the problems the nation is facing, but must of all the fault lies on the people for giving their votes to wolves dressed as sheeps (i.e. Obama). This tragedy happens because The People do not get informed and the ones that do, do not share with the ignorant ones for fear of being called a right wing extremist.
Please let's focus on improving the GOP and not on third parties. United we can restore back conservatism in the country. The libs will try very hard to divide the conservative vote by convincing some that we need to vote for third parties. LET'S WIN in 2010 and 2012.
I think the GOP is improving. John Boehner has commented that there is no daylight between he and the Tea Party. It's the Tea Partyers who are encouraging Conservative Republicans to stay the course. We can move those moderate Republicans a bit more to the right. It can be done. Let's not waste them. At the end of the day, we are more aptly Republicans than Democrats.
I receive those surveys too. My shredder is working overtime. Basically, they are requests for donations. The GOP would like to receive the support the Tea Party folks receive.
I'm interested in seeing how the GOP behaves, until then the jury's out. We do need to support the Tea Party movement, the Democrats believe we'll burn out.
Two idiots.
Rush is right. Overall you can not compare the 2 parties. Yes some Republicans made mistakes but they should be harder critics of the Democrats and their plan to destrou the USA. The media has done more than enough to bash Bush and we do not alawys give credit when Bush was right.
It is clear that Glen Beck is being muzzled on "maybe President" Obama and the Muslim issues by the network that hosts him. Too bad. But he has done a great service to our country to lay out the progressive agenda and its adherents. The GOP needs to listen to their party chairman. I read his book and there is a clear blueprint in it that should govern who the party supports for various offices at all levels and in all branches. If I hear a complaint against Steele, I look to who is making the noise and lo, I find a progressive. It's time for a constitutional party attitude to take over the GOP.
Part 2 – If the GOP becomes the constitutional conservative party, and leaves out religious issues which have no part in politics and everything to do with the character of the person who is running, we will sweep the elections in the fall. As a Libertarian I know I have to work through the GOP. How did the GOP turn out in the last election – did not work for them. If they had turned VP Palin loose, they would have won, but the progressives were running the show, and could not see the light of day. The only reason it was as close was the excitement over a fresh attitude, clear policies, and sensible processes.
I just heard barry odumba make the statement that "THE CORE VALVE AND PRINCIPLE OF OUR CONSTITUTION" is the right to every person to worship as he believes, this in defending the right of the muslims to built their mosque on hallowed ground of the 9/11 terrorist attack. My question or statement is this; why is barry odumbo so concerned about "core values" of our Constitution when he thumbs his nose at it and makes his own laws. Both Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh know what barry odumbo really is. he is a muslim fraud who got elected and as a Manchurian President and is hell bent on destroying the country he hates!! Look who his friends are and if you have half a brain you can figure out the rest. God bless Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh and America… ;o)
Just Remember Rush Limbaugh Is Right-On 98.8% Of The Time, Yippee, Now Do Not Get Me Wrong But Gov Sarah Palin And Glenn Beck Are Both Needed By The Conservatives, Glenn Is Differant And Sarah Palin Is Honest That The Proud Americans Love And Follow To The Very End. Yippee, God Bless America And Sarah Palin For POTUS.
Is this the same Rush Limbaugh that during the presidential campaign, said he would NOT vote for McCain if he was the nominee?
Beck is right. The Republican Party seems to be walking in circles, with no particular aim in sight. I fear they are going to fool around and nominate another John "Milktoast" McCain. The Republicans MUST nominate someone with the fire of Chris Christie and the debating ability of Newt Gingrich. Never heard Christie speak, but I'll bet he could set Obama on fire and watch him burn. The Republicans must, must call Obama out for the Marxist he is AND NOT BACK DOWN. They need to quote him from his own book, "Dreams FROM My Father". Obama is following his father's dreams, yeah. the dreams of a womanizing, alcoholic Marxist, hung up on anti-colonialism in Africa, who saw Obama ONE TIME IN HIS LIFE! Read the book, "The Roots of Obama's Rage" by Denish D'Souza. He paints a frighteningly truthful picture of Obama that calls into question Obama's sanity!
