Hooverville... will we see more of these popping up soon?
Now in 2010, radio giant Rush Limbaugh is declaring the United States has become one giant “Obamaville,” thanks directly to the policies of President Barack Obama.
“The whole country is Obamaville,” Limbaugh said on his program today. “Obama is Herbert Hoover. You know they used to call those unemployment camps Hoovervilles. Well, now we’re going to see Obamavilles springing up all across the nation.”
“Hoover was trying to fix things. Obama’s not. The only difference is Obama is doing this on purpose. Hoover wasn’t.”
Limbaugh took direct aim at the president’s comments yesterday when Obama insisted, “The economy is strengthening, we are into recovery.”
“It’s the summer of recovery. How’s that working out for you?” Limbaugh asked facetiously. “Thirteen thousand, 13,000 private-sector jobs added in June. If you divide 13,000 by 50, just for illustration purposes, you get 260 jobs created in the private sector per state. Two hundred sixty jobs per state. This is Herbert Hoover-type stuff.”

Obama does not WANT to do anything that will help the United States or it's citizens. He and his wife hate this country and want to destroy it and Congress and the Senate are letting him do it. There is nothing that me as an individual can do to prevent this except vote. I feel HELPLESS. It is too bad we don't have Congressmen and Senators who love this country enough to stop him.

If you think the economy is bad now, just wait until the 'Cap and Trade Bill' gets out of concillitory committee and is passed again in both houses, when it kicks in it will raise taxes exponentially, then after the beginning of the year the Bush tax cut will expire and taxes will also go up there as well, but Obama says just on the most richest people (those who use to make and supply jobs for the rest of us), and soon after that the health care taxes will kick in and government payroll will increase by 500,000 people (at least they're creating some jobs, even if they're jobs that need more taxes to pay for them), and the Democrats are also passing a law that requires all law enforcement, firemen, and emergency response people (medics and ambulance drivers) to each join they're own national unions thereby causing those payrolls to go up (more taxes needed for the increase pay). Who do people think are going to pay all these new taxes, the jobless? Rush got it right, but is it to late to reverse it?

I grew up on a farm in Iowa and I think people are better off growing up on a farm. They seem to have a better work ethic and more common sense. I'm a Vietnam Vet. I was a Radar operator (Radarman) 1965-1969. I turn 66 this month and I still work though I am out of work now. I repair computers and do computer helpdesk work. It is good to hear from you. It has not got that bad yet, but I know a guy and his wife that had to live in a tent tell some help org. got them a place. Not the feds either.
