Romney Adviser Blames “Far Right” For Romney Loss

Mitt Romney CPAC 2011 SC Romney Adviser Blames “Far Right” for Romney Loss

When President Obama repeatedly blamed George W. Bush for the condition of the economy, Republicans repeatedly took issue with the charge. Both parties were to blame for the way Congress forced financial institutions to loan money to people who had no business being approved for a mortgage.

Congress has been in the business of wrecking the economy and then claiming they have the solution to fix the problems they created. Curses on both their houses.

Now the blame-game is coming from the Romney camp. In an interview with Candy Crowley, Romney adviser Carlos Gutierrez first attacked Romney for his remarks about “gifts” by Obama to buy votes. On this Romney is correct despite what some Republicans who are trying to position themselves for 2016 are saying. Then Gutierrez goes further off the rails. Like so many Establishment Republicans, he does not understand the mood of millions of conservatives who once formed the foundation of the Republican Party and gave it substantial victories in past elections, 2010 being the most recent:

“I think we lost the election because the far right of this party has taken the party to a place that it doesn’t belong. We are the party of prosperity, of growth, of tolerance. I mean these immigrants who come across and what they do wrong is they risk their lives, they come here and they work because they want to be part of the American Dream. That’s what the GOP is.”

  1. Mitt,
you are a RINO and that is why the ELITE promoted you to run against o’bama. you are a mini-o’bama and hardly have different ideas than his.
Did you worry about the Federal Reserve?
    Did you worry about NDAA?
Did you worry about all the Executive Orders that o’bama has used to neuter congress?
No, the ONLY reason the Elite chose you as puppet #2 was because they KNEW that your ideas are so similar to o’bama’s that you’d never bring up the IMPORTANT STUFF, talk of it in the “debates” and thus leave the lemmings IGNORANT about how the Elite want to flush the country down the toilet to bring in a Fascist New World Order!

  2. his losing the election is one thing only voter fraud. Open your mouth and file charges. voter fraud is not hidden. congress and the justice system are do nothing sorry pieces of humanity. stop this elect ion now . impeach the commie

  3. Fraud was the cause! At least Mitt had values which are sadly lacking in Obama and several other candidates as well. We need to vote values. We need to vote paper ballots. We need to have objective viewers watching voting and election officers (who are supposed to swear to be honest and follow the laws – I know I was), and viewers at the count. Skip the computers as even the computer providers tell us they are reprogrammable, not reliable, and really not ready for voting! What more do we need to know. The media (why are they protecting Obama is what we need to know – many are Soros owned and others) is rotten to the core. They are not reporters nor journalists but flunkies. No wonder the media – TV/newspapers/magazines are fading away. They can’t be trusted to be objective and report the real news. Our Congress is full of RINOS and supposed moderates who are giving this country away so they are a big part of the problem and not a part of the solution. They should vote out Boehner, the whiner, and put someone else in. There are good candidates but, hey, they would fight for the right thing and for us. The Rinos and moderates did not support Mitt nor other candidates in the states so the status quo would stay the same. Pox on them! Think about this if we ever get another chance to vote. However, if Obama stays, we probably won’t because we will be under the UN and world powers and no longer a Republic and each of us is to blame for allowing this terrible, terrible thing happening to America!

  4. Hi everyone, it is a shame to see some of the negative feedback received. He had a good campaign and worked hard. We have created two apps to promote the goodness that Romney has done and to allow him to go out with a feeling of support rather than rejection. http://goo.gl/3ficJ and http://goo.gl/pdLKd
People should be celebrating the votes and states that he won not being negative on the states that he lost (even by very small margins).

  5. You are both correct and the Republicans are a weak party. If they took their oath serious they would have verified Obama’s eligibility before the 08 election. They left it to the voters tp remove O and that didn’t work out. They are afraid of him for some reason and cannot be trusted to protect the country either. Niether would would they have allowd O all that money and exec orders or anything that is unconstitutional. I am done with them and ready to start a new party, tea or constitution or who cares what it’s called.

    • The Republican Party failed because of the FAR RIGHT, plain and simple! You “religious righties” should indeed start your own political party and get out of the Republican Party! Your radical social agenda doesn’t belong in politics – you are destroying our Grand Old Party, so get out and start your own. You are not welcome here!!! Your pressure and constant radical comments discounting everything Romney said that countered your radical agenda, destroyed his chances of winning the White House. LEAVE OUR PARTY AND START THE CHRISITAN RIGHT PARTY! Our Party will never win the White House again if you are allowed to stay. Have the guts to prove if your raidcal agenda works in

your OWN political party. Your social politics don’t belong in politics – PERIOD! And just seeing the above ad asking people to sign a petition to overturn Roe vs. Wade makes me wonder what this entire Western Journal stands for. It it’s a far right religous site – let me know, and I’ll leave immediately~

  6. Something is definitely wrong with our system, but Romney was a very strong decent man with principles and apparently, that is not what is respected to be our president. Obama is a disaster communist and he
got relected either by fraud or whatever, but the country is still 50/50 which shows nothing will ever get done for us the good republicans who want to preserve the Constitution and our Christian values.

  7. Joysdesk: You are correct. I too feel lost, and abandoned by my political system. I do, however, still feel a deep kinship with my homeland, America (The former United States of America). Although I feel like I’ve lost my country and it’s constitution, I will be at hand when the revolution starts. A good friend told me that in order to have a successful revolution, 80% of the populace must support it. We only have 50% at this time. When will our other 30% wake up. Now, is not yet the time.

  8. The reason Romney lost is that he was cheated by the brainless koolaid drinking Obama supporters and fraud. And worst of all by his own party that left him out to dry knowing about all the voter fraud and just sitting there and doing nothing about it.They should be leading the charge to Impeach Obama and arrest all the voters who helped with fraud for Obama. But no they are all afraid of Obama or are paid off by promises or money and power to stand by and let Obama steal and destroy the United States.I am ashamed of the way the government and all those who helped Obama steal the election have turned there backs on this great country we all love and call home.I don’t see how they can look in a mirror and live with themselves.

  9. If not voting for a neoconservative makes me “Far Right,” then that label shall be one I accept proudly for as long as you spout it at me.

  10. ““I think we lost the election because the far right of this party has taken the party to a place that it doesn’t belong.” Is he referring to conservatism? Is he actually saying that the GOP shouldn’t be a conservative party?
“We are the party of prosperity, of growth, of tolerance.” Hmmm…sounds very “progressive”. Maybe just a tad too much tolerance perhaps?
“I mean these immigrants who come across and what they do wrong is they risk their lives, they come here and they work because they want to be part of the American Dream. That’s what the GOP is.” Nooo…what they do wrong is crossing our border illegally. That’s why it’s called “illegal” moron. If they want a piece of the american dream, they shouldn’t start off by breaking our laws. What they want is to abuse our system (SO easy to do ) and take whatever they can by whatever means they can. If all the freebies means voting for Obama a few times at each election, that’s a small price to pay for all the goodies.
Good lord, this guy must be looking for a new job with the DNC. By his standards, if the GOP was any farther left, they’d have to push the Dems out of the way as they went past. Their time is over. They are all nothing more than RINOs. I think the GOP leadership has made their stance with conservatives plain enough. They don’t like us. They won’t help us. They will absolutely NOT do their jobs or uphold their oaths. They are afraid of the Tea Party. They see in us what real Republicans should be, but what they will never be. The current bunch, from Boehner on down, are all cowards of the worst sort. The Tea Party went all out for them in 2010 and 2012. They NEEDED us. However, when a TP-Republican needed their support (ie: Allan West), they refused. The election was CLEARLY stolen, but they’re too cowardly to stand up to their master. Now they will lay blame at our feet. Certainly, it couldn’t be THEIR fault, right?
I keep reading how we should retake the GOP from within, even if it takes several election cycles, because third parties historically never work. I don’t think that’s possible. They are becoming too hostile toward the Tea Party conservatives. I think if all the real conservatives who are tired of an impotent GOP (and Congress) who are only going to get worse (left-leaning), along with Tea Party members, were to form a party, it would severely diminish the GOP base. In effect, the GOP would become the ineffective third party. Don’t compete with the GOP, replace them.
