Rich Liberals Attack Mitt Romney For Being Rich

Mitt Romney speech SC 300x280 Rich Liberals Attack Mitt Romney for Being Rich

The Democrats are making an issue of Mitt Romney’s wealth. For example, David Letterman, who makes $50 million per year, went on the attack last week. Letterman is worth $400 million while Forbes estimates that Mitt Romney is worth $230 million.

Bashing Romney for his wealth has not stopped President Obama from going to the multi-millionaire well to bolster his campaign coffers. George Clooney, who hosted a fund raiser right after President Obama said he supported “Gay Marriage,” is worth $160 million.

“On the same day his campaign launched an attack on Mitt Romney‘s record in private equity, President Obama” attended “a big-dollar fundraiser at the Manhattan home of Hamilton ‘Tony’ James. . . . Many in attendance . . . have ties to the private equity sector.”

Tom Hanks, a big Obama supporter, is worth $350 million. He and his liberal wife live in a $26 million Pacific Palisades mansion.

Where were the rich-money critics when John Kerry was running for President? Kerry married Teresa Heinz, the widow of Pennsylvania Senator H. John Heinz III. As far back as 2004, the Los Angeles Times put Teresa Heinz’s wealth at between $900 million and $3.2 billion. Even without his wife’s inherited money, Kerry is wealthy in his own name, being the beneficiary of at least four trusts inherited from Forbes family members, including his mother, who died in 2002. Kerry, a Democrat, is one of the wealthiest U.S. Senators.

  1. It is utterly beyond belief that folks would pay $40,000 a plate (several times, for some) to hear the Clown-in Chief rail, endlessly, on the EVILS of being rich!

  2. No surprise here. Socialism is for the people not the Socialist. The socialist lives in high style with abuntatnt money. The people who get socialism live in a large melancholy maize of equal outcomes.

  3. Boy isn’t it enough that we have to put up with idiots like Letteman and his droll and just plain viscious sense of humor without having to be turned off by ones like Clooney and Tom Hanks? Tom Hanks is a big disappointment . You’d think he’d have some comon sense. And I hate to even watch shows on CBS anymore because of that old letch Letterman and his commercials..So many of these libs are rich cats who just don’t get it. Such hypocrits to put down Mitt when they’re so well heeled . And how in the world does Obama charm these people? He must have some hidden alluring quality that people like me just don’t see. Yuck!

    • It’s easy! The TV and Movie industry is SOLIDLY in the pocket of iron-fisted unions! E.G. I read some time ago that if the fellow listed as “Second Cameraman” so much as TOUCHES camera the studio MUST hire another “Second-second cameraman” who just sits around for the duration of the filming.
In other words, for the most part, these folks owe their livelihood, fortune and future to the unions – and, by extension, any politico who supports the unions.
Also, most of them live in pampered Ivory Towers all but divorced from the trials of the working man and the only news they get of Joe Worker is filtered through those very unions and politicos who relish the influence that those “Stars” (unfortunately) command!
