Republican gubernatorial candidate and U.S. Rep. Nathan Deal says he wants the president to prove he is an American citizen.
Rep. Deal wants to see real proof, not the online certificate that proves nothing
Deal says he has “no reason to think” that President Barack Obama is not a legal U.S. citizen but enough questions have been raised that he plans to write a letter to the president asking him to produce a birth certificate showing he was born in the United States.
“I have looked at the documentation that is publicly available and it leaves many things to be desired,” Deal said in an interview Friday.
Deal’s statement came a day after he noted in an online chat that he would join other U.S. House members in writing the president and asking that he release a copy of his birth certificate.

This is good, finally, that more people who should care are beginning to join the others who have been questioning Obama's birth place. If Obama is not a true American citizen he shouldn't be given the highest honor of being our president. Frankly even if he was born in HI, I question his love for America. He's too quick to put our country down and seems in a big rush to bankrupt us or make us the same as all the other countries.

Even if born in Hawaii he is not a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN. To be a Natural Born Citizen, both of your parents have to be US citizens. Obama's father was definitely NOT a US citizen.

It's about time someone in Congress stepped up. Not that he will get an answer. If he doesn't, just count it as another slap in the face, America. We can't expect that the Democrats will ever ask about this, even though they never certified him to be a legal candidate. And they would be punished if they even mention it in their sleep. If he is legal, all he has to do is show his birth certificate. He is the only President that has tried to keep his BC hidden. You don't spend millions to hide the truth. I can't understand supposedly educated, ittelligent citizens opposing the president of the USA, showing his birth certificate. If they decided to run for the o highest office in our country, would they be unwilling to show their birth certificate? I think not. BHO show your BC—what are you afraid of?
Well, it's about time! Obama could have ended all this speculation long ago. Why hasn't he? Because he was born in Kenya, that's why. We have a right to know if he is eligible to be president. The Constitution requires it. Why did they demand McCain's birth certificate and not Obama's??

Thank God there are some Congressmen who are questioning Obama's citizenship. It should have been done even before he ran for the Presidency, but definitely before he was nominated as the Democratic Candidate. All should go to the American Grand Jury site and see the evidence posted if you have not visited that site or do not know about it. The Congressmen should definitely visit that site. Hopefully Congressman Deal has gained some fact from the American Grand Jury Site. May God Help Congressman Deal and the other Representative who finally are taking a stand to respect our Constitution and the American People.
Have you seen the email circulating titled "Meet the Soetoros"? It shows a caption nine-year old Barry Soetero seated with his step-father and his mother with their infant child. allegedly in Indonesia. Then follows a copy of a school registration (Fransiskus Assisi in Jakarta, Indonesia) showing his name to be Barry Soetoro. It is then followed with evidence (following a court order to release the documents) that he applied for and received financial aid at Occidental College as a foreign student under the name Barry Soetoro. There is more. I have been unable to confirm the vakidity of these documents but thought you are in a position to get assistance from reliable sources. Thanks you for your action.
I have questioned this from the time he came into office….then he began throwing our

there is none..nor can he produce a Certificate of Marriage for his Mother & "Father". What Country did he use for his Passport in 1981. It better be a USA passport or he was not a citizen of the USA at that time!!

It seems as if once upon a time you could actually take the word of our politicians and government as pretty honest. Now if there is such a thing as an honest politician on the major league level we'll never know because the crooked ones have to discredit them to preserve their own "credibility". So far it seems as if all the right precautions have been taken to assure that anything documenting Obamas past is non-existent. Why didn't we investigate this guy more on the way to the presidency? How about that Special Olympics joke he said shortly after becoming president? Hope it's not too late.

It would be so simple to submit a birth certificate if he has one. When he spends so much money to keep this a secret, it leads a lot of us to believe that he is not a native born American. I think Congress should investigate. It should have been proven by the Democratic Party before he was nominated.
I can't believe this is still an issue. We have to supply our Birth Certificate to get a drivers license, Social Security, Passport, etc. Obama should have been required to do the same BEFORE he ever ran for president.
On Aug 28 2008 DNC Chairman & Nancy Pelosi had 2 papers notarized. (can't find it right now) The first said Obama was a legitimate candidate under the constitution. The 2 one is the one that was sent to all 50 states. It just said Obama was a candidate for president. They got cold feet with sticking their neck out. FOIA Proves they knew he was a FRAUD!

All of us have to give our birth certificates when we want to get a passport, get a government clearance for any kind of government work, or get most any job in this country. But for the Commander in Chief job we have different rules? Why is this Muslim/fake Christian given a pass on this?

Is it not CONCLUSIVE that BHO is not a natural born citizen since he could end the debate and improve his credibilty by posting a certified copy of his original birth certificate! Not doing so leaves no doubt that were he to do so his lack of eligibility to be president would be established as a matter of record.
If this President is not a US citizen,then obviously he needs to be impeached. My belief is that
he is not a citizen since he is resisting showing his BC and is paying thousands of dollars to
do it.
Also,I have a tape which shows in Obama's own words how he loves the Muslim chants
and does them perfectly. How he says he went to school in Indonesia and that the USA is
now a Christian Judeo Muslim Country-Says who?
I hope that on Jan 25th I believe this issue about his BC is going to be questioned. If again,the
suit is thrown out of court,then we will know he got to this Judge too.

I feel since Obama has not proved his eligibility to be our President, then he has no authority to demand anything, or make any rules until he shows his "Long Form Birth Certificate" plus other documents that he has paid high legal fees to his lawyers to keep the American people from viewing, so why would he spend so much on Legal fees if he did not have somehing to hide that would cause him to be removed from the Presidential Office at once!!!
