(CNSNews.com) – Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.), a freshman conservative congressman and former Army officer, said that the “breakdown of the Black family” is one of the most important causes of the economic disparity facing the black community.
“We are here today to talk about economic freedom, as opposed to economic dependency,” West said at a Capitol Hill forum Monday addressing “Economic Empowerment in the Black Community.”
“‘Husband’ and ‘Wife’ in the black community are at 28 percent; that leads to a failure in education and that leads to a failure in urban statistics and revitalization,” West said.
A panelist at the forum, West said Black unemployment remains at almost 14 percent — almost double the rate for whites.
“This is a trend that has continued for the past 50 years, during both strong and weak economies,” he said.

I WOULD VOTE WEST IN IN A HEART BEAT
I would vote for West, also. I say remove queenie Obozo from office and put Allen West in there to replace him. Allen West will bring this country, white, black, hispanic, asian, back to sound fiscal sanity. He would help all Americans just like Martin Luther King, Jr. would. West sees how the DemonRat Party has enslaved the black communiy with their so-called “welfare” programs. Since obozo has been president our unemployment rate is at about 8 or 9%, but among blacks it is at 14%. This proves to me that obozo and the DemonRats really don’t care about the black community. They just want to keep them enslaved by making them dependent on the government so they can control them. It’s all about control; control of the masses. And our lying, lamestream media lies through their teeth about this and suppresses the truth all the time. It’s about time all Americans, including the black community, wakes up and faces the truth. If we don’t wake up now, we’ll lose all of our God-given freedoms/liberties if we haven’t alreay lost them. Enslavement is the name of the game. Wake up, America!!! It seems that no matter what color you are, God and hard work will bring you up. Never let anything stop you. There are many sucessful people and they all said the same thing. It does help to have parents who teach you and care – but that didn’t stop many a man who made it. Adam West and Herman Cain had it easier than some might, but if one wants the dream, all they need do is work for it and not quit until they get it. That is our freedom and the USA is the place where it can be done.
One thing we all must remember: The government isn’t ANYONE’s friend!
When they show up to ‘HELP’ you, run, as hard as you can, in the opposite direction. They only want to ‘HELP’ you become a slave to the government. America was built with hard work and self-determination, NOT with government ‘HELP’. The Great Depression did not end because the government ‘created’ a lot of jobs. In fact, that only lengthened the recovery. The Great Depression only ended when WWII began. The only role the govt had in that was in buying up warplanes and ships, etc. After WWII was over, it has been mostly down hill ever since, sliding ever closer to socialism. It’s time to stop that process, and RESTORE our great nation to it’s roots and it’s values.
Our Constitution is there to help every American, white, black, brown or yellow. We believe that, YES, we CAN, govern ourselves, and NO, we do NOT, need liberals and Progressives to run our lives for us. Just as with any well-managed corporation, we can HIRE qualified managers to run the various departments of our government. They are working FOR us, not against us. If the need arises, we have the right to fire any who are incompetent or malfeasant in office. The opportunities for advancing ourselves are intended for ALL the citizens of this great nation!
Allen West is absolutely correct, the government is NOT the solution. Family values are sorely lacking in America today, and not just among the blacks. It was family values that built this country, not gay rights or free sex or abortion rights. We need the young black men to step forward and assume their roles as leaders in their families. Since the irresponsibility has begun spreading, we need the young white and Hispanic men to do the same. A woman is not just a ‘hoe’, to be used and abandoned. After all, your own mother is/was a ‘hoe’, too, by that thinking. So, I call for all to man up, take responsibility, and be proud of it! You will be a much better man for it, and you can hold your head up in a crowd. Be proud and stand tall.

He put words to the hearts of the “we the people” movement…That is the work we do in asking our friends to do their homework and understand how far away from this “responsibility” of a member of our society we have come and how we can stop this rush to socialism and get back to the people we used to be. We don’t disrespect our neighbors – we don’t force our view – we just ask that you might do homework and look for the truth, not just watch that half hours of news last night that showed you how hot it is in the major cities, watch the film of children and dogs bathing in water hydrants – and blink when a major discourse in our government is mentioned, made to sound like “nothing to worry about” news they have been doing. I was most disturbed to hear that only 50% of America just now became aware of the statement by our President that the middle class is just fine….My goodness I had hoped more people were awake. WE MUST WAKE UP AMERICA BEFORE NOVEMBER. I can’t be mad at them, 15 years ago I was doing the same thing. I religiously watched my 30 minutes and believed with all my heart they were telling me “the truth”. We must work harder asking them the questions – when you hear or see something that keeps running up the back of your neck that says “something is wrong – what is wrong with people”. Find out what is wrong people. Do your homework. We need to be talking to the people who haven’t woke up yet, just discussing it with others who know, like we do here, won’t do it. Engage people with the truth and let them check for themselves. In this age of instant information there is no excuse. We need you to understand, you can CHANGE us all. You can bring America back to the way of life we are losing. The one we know you wanted before you went to sleep.
