When Barack Obama was campaigning for president in 2008, he visited Colorado Springs and said he wanted to create a “Civilian National Security Force” as big and well-funded as the $650 billion-plus U.S. military, a mysterious campaign promise ignored by virtually the entire media except WND. Now Charlie Rangel is proposing that he have it.
Rangel, facing ethics charges in Congress, has proposed the Universal National Service Act that would require “all persons” from ages 18-42 “to perform national service, either as a member of the uniformed services or in civilian service in furtherance of the national defense and homeland security.”
The plan also authorizes “the induction of persons in the uniformed services during wartime to meet end-strength requirements of the uniformed services, and for other purposes.”
A WND reader who read the plans online was outraged.
“May Obama be d—–,” he wrote. “It reinstitutes the draft, and is for both males and females … There is no ‘opt-out’ – if you are not ‘fit’ for actual military service, or are a ‘conscientious objector,’ then you are shunted into ‘civilian service’ which is pretty much anything the ‘president’ says it is.”

SEC. 5210. ESTABLISHING A READY RESERVE CORPS.
Section 203 of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 204) is amended to read as follows:
SEC. 203. COMMISSIONED CORPS AND READY RESERVE CORPS.
(a) ESTABLISHMENT–
(1) IN GENERAL.–here shall be in the Service a commissioned Regular Corps and a Ready Reserve Corps for service in time of national emergency.
(2) REQUIREMENT.–All commissioned officers shall be citizens of the United States and shall be appointed without regard to the civil-service laws and compensated without regard to the Classification Act 2 of 1923, as amended.
(3) APPOINTMENT.–Commissioned officers of the Ready Reserve Corps shall be appointed by the President and commissioned officers of the Regular Corps shall be appointed by the President with the advice and consent of the Senate.
(4) ACTIVE DUTY.–Commissioned officers of the Ready Reserve Corps shall at all times be subject to call to active duty by the Surgeon General, including active duty for the purpose of training
(5) WARRANT OFFICERS.–Warrant officers may be appointed to the Service for the purpose of providing support to the health and delivery systems maintained by the Service and any warrant officer appointed to the Service shall be considered for purposes of this Act and title 37, United States Code, to be a commissioned officer within the Commissioned Corps of the Service.
(b) ASSIMILATING RESERVE CORP OFFICERS INTO THE REGULAR CORPS.—Effective on the date of enactment of the Affordable Health Choices Act, all individuals classified as officers in the Reserve Corps under this section (as such section existed on the day before the date of enactment of such Act) and serving on active duty shall be deemed to be commissioned officers of the Regular Corps.
[Note here that those personally appointed by BO -- without advice and consent of the Senate -- automatically become a part of the Regular Corps. Ed.]
(c) PURPOSE AND USE OF READY RESERVE.–
(1) PURPOSE.–The purpose of the Ready Reserve Corps is to fulfill the need to have additional Commissioned Corps personnel available on short notice (similar to the uniformed service’s reserve program) to assist regular Commissioned Corps personnel to meet both routine public health and emergency response missions.
(2) USES.–The Ready Reserve Corps shall–
(A) participate in routine training to meet the general and specific needs of the Commissioned Corps;
(B) be available and ready for involuntary calls to active duty during national emergencies and public health crises, similar to the uniformed service reserve personnel;
(C) be available for backfilling critical positions left vacant during deployment of active duty Commissioned Corps members, as well as for deployment to respond to public health emergencies, both foreign and domestic; and
(D) be available for service assignment in isolated, hardship, and medically underserved communities (as defined in section 399SS) to improve access to health services.
(d) FUNDING.—For the purpose of carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the Commissioned Corps under this section, there are authorized to be appropriated such sums as may be necessary to the Office of the Surgeon General for each of fiscal years 2010 through 2014. Funds appropriated under this subsection shall be used for recruitment and training of Commissioned Corps Officers.
How many of you, dear readers, were aware of the fact that the health care bill created another army?
Why is something that has nothing to do with health care in a health care bill? This type of crap has to stop.

Why not start a National Constitutional Security Force, under its own command only and dedicated to the security of the Unitrd States, its Constitution and the rights of its people under that Constitution? All members be required to take the same oath as the military personel, all of Congress, Federal Judges, and the President, but uphold their pledge of oath. Let their be at least one chapter, or more, in every state, separate and independent of the government, that meets at least once a month and gives classes on the 'Declaration of Independence', the 'Constitution', and the 'Bill of Rights' along with the 'Federalist Papers' to help understand what the Founding Fathers meant by what they put in these documents. To these meetings, let them bring their own arms, set up chain of commands, drill for discipline, and set up contingencies for time of trouble or chaos. Let this National Constitutional Security Force be called the 'Minutemen' in reference and honor to the patriots who started this great nation.
We already have a force of over 300,000,000 defenders of the Constitution and other founding documents for this great country. They're called "We The People". Let's just start doing OUR job and holding our elected officials accountable to those documents!
The only way to stop this is to end the flow of money these traitors have access to. The only way to do that is to remove them from office. If we can't get them out by holding a free and fair election then the final choice is through hiring Hizbollah operatives to lobby like they do in Lebanon. Just kidding. Obama's trying to implement The Health Care Section 5210 Establishing a Ready Reserve Corps. which would be the equivilent of his Civilian National Security Force most definitely would result in his downfall for certain. Charlie Rangel is just desperate to hold onto his seat & the passing of such a bill to create a Universal National Service Act would never pass Congress.
This is the insanity that we have not only in Congress but as well now in The White House at present!

Tomorrow tomorrow it will all be better tomorrow. Relax the Democrats are going to make history on November 2nd. What you say. The most lost seats in the house in HISTORY. Then we keep the Right on the right track and not let them stray again.
A record is unlikely, thanks to modern gerrymandering by both parties. The Democrats lost a record 116 House seats in 1894, exactly 20 years after the GOP lost 96.
This election is likely to be closer to the 53 the Dems lost in 1994, the 56 they lost in 1946, or the 57 Republicans lost in 1910. Keep in mind that the GOP must gain a net of 77 to have the SAME 255 seats that Dems now hold.
Even if Republicans win EVERY Senate seat that's open they'll have a smaller majority there than Dems do now. The Dems probably won't lose even enough to cost them the majority. (I predict the Dems end up with 51, perhaps one or two more if Sharron Angle and/or Joe Miller manages to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
We'll have a GOP House that can't do much because there will be a Democratic Senate and a Democratic president who will be able to campaign against a "do-nothing Congress" in his re-election bid, as Truman did in 1948. We'll have two years of gridlock, or the parties will figure out how to work together. I'll let others decide which they'd prefer–but either may help Obama.

Even 65 "is closer" by quite a bit to 57 (or even to 53) than it is to 116 (or even 96).
