A Kentucky man has sparked a public outcry after he put up a statue of President Barack Obama eating watermelon. His critics say the display is blatantly racist.
When asked why he chose to depict Obama, the nation’s first black president, eating watermelon, Danny Hafley said he “might get hungry standing out here.”
Hafley told LEX18 in Lexington said he is merely exercising his right to free speech and the statue is protected under the First Amendment.
“The way I look at it, it’s freedom of speech,” he said. “I don’t know how other people will take it.”

You make a good point about convincing people, BUT I’m afraid there is nothing that will work. Understand that people have become so dumbed down, so ignorant and brainwashed, they don’t what freedom really, what the US Constitution really means, what is fair or unfair or anything else. All they know today is, they want whatever and whoever can promise them the most. Promise them an ObamaPhone and they’ll agree to let the government tap their phones. Give them free health care and they will agree to vote for those who promise them that free health care, plus they will allow any other inconveniences and government intrusions into all our lives just so they can get something for free. EVEN if you have to pay more for it! Understand the reason this is happening. It is because morals have been thrown out the window and replaced by the materialism of man. We may be ready to go off the fiscal cliff concerning money, but as a nation you went of the moral cliff years ago! It’s not really a question of some saying it. The law stipulates that candidates for the Presidency must be natural born citizens which means that both parents have to be United States Citizens. We know that in 2008 when Obama took office welfare was @ approx. 29 million participants as of 2011 it rose to Approx. 47 million. Now according to these above percentages, Take 39.8% of the black welfare participants by the total number of black population and like wise 38.8% of white welfare participants by total number of white population
(because the figures above range + or Minus – 6 – 8 million for ball park figures of this example we will use average figures)
39.8% x 47 million total black welfare participants = 18,706,000 black welfare participants
black population (est) 46 million less the 18.7 million welfare participants= 27, 294,000 working or NOT on welfare.
Approx. 40.7% of total black population in US are on Welfare.
38.8% x 47 million total white welfare participants = 18,236,000 white welfare participants

Take away “affirmative action” and the laws mandating that companies over 50 employees must employ a certain number black employee’s and those numbers would rise dramatically.
I’ve had alot of contract jobs in many large companies by which in order to remain within compliance of mandated laws, they employ blacks by which take advantage of these laws because they know they will not be fired because their dead weight is needed to be on the payroll in order for the company to stay in compliance. I see these black employees take 3 hr breaks and sleep in their cars on the clock, or they spend 10 – 15 minutes of just about every hour in the break room kicked back either watching a tv or on the company internet taking advantage of the companies kindness to offer internet to employees to utilize during their scheduled breaks. Managers and Supervisors constantly have to go get these people out of the break rooms and back to their job posts with no reprimands. Many Companies usually have to just absorb those payrolls and hire a counterpart to pick up on the lacking productiveness. The supervisor told me rather than fire them for stealing, taking extended breaks and sleeping on the job while on the clock, it would be pointless because then the company will have to spend resources to find, interview and train new black employees because only black employees would be accepted because of the laws, so their hands are tied and after doing all the interviewing and training, there is no guarantee that the new black employees would not take on the attitude that they too can abuse the laws and policies.
One company I worked in not so long ago offered free coffee to their employees in the break room. At the end or toward the end of the shifts, I would watch the same 3 black people almost on a daily basis raid the coffee and tea draw and grab packets of coffee and flavored teas and fill their pockets to take home with them. The Company was spending over $4000.00 on coffee and tea alone to supply the employees. There was just 112 employees in this branch of the Company facilities and many didn’t drink coffee. So to trim their expenses, they quit offering free coffee and tea and brought a coffee vending machine in. The ones that complained the most about having to pay .50 cents for a cup of coffee was the 3 dudes that had been stealing the free coffee from the Company for months and by which forced the company to abandon their free coffee program.
Now not all black employees are like that and are equally productive as any white co worker at many of the Companies I contract through. I have worked at Companies where some white people steal and sleep on the job, but they are either fired on the spot. But the abuse of privileges and taking advantage of policies and laws such as “Affirmative action” and laws that require companies with certain amounts of employees mandating that they must employee a certain number of a race of people regardless to whether that person is productive or not is ridiculous and causes companies to have to offer lower wages because they will basically have to employee several more additional employees to keep up with their productivity demands and pick up the slack from the slackers. Rather than fire the slackers and finding people who actually want to work and more importantly are actually qualified to perform the duty.
Even our Congress is filled with dead weight and slackers, thieves, liars and just blatantly incompetent persons unqualified to hold their position. Take Eric Holder for example – Useless and bold face liar, criminal and corrupt. Then you got Maxine Waters – Mrs. Socialists – who claimed on video that she wants the government to take control of companies and socialize them. Then you got Hank Johnson – Mr. Guam will capsize – when he expressed his concern on video that if guam becomes over populated on one side of the island, he fears the island might capsize and tip over. Nancy Pelosi – Mrs. you’ll have to sign it or pass it before you can read it. Just to name a few examples though there are many more.
In Saipan is the same similar situation, except it is not based on the race. It is based on foreign and domestic workers. Saipan has a law that mandates that business must hire a certain number of locals and cannot hire a workforce of all foreign workers. The result is many of the domestic workers don’t do their job and just collect a paycheck because they know they will not be fired by the company because they are needed not for productivity but for law mandates.

Interesting stats if the US Government can be believed.
I would have thought the total numbers would have placed more whites on welfare and the % would have shown more blacks.
But the above is only the results of a far deeper problem concerning everyone. Welfare and government aid ONLY increases dependence. It does not promote self reliance and independence. Oh maybe if someone is out of work due to some problem some extremely limited help could be had but only for a short while, say 3 months max. It is NOT the government’s place to feed, house and pay other’s expenses. It ONLY breeds dependence!
As I mentioned to Betta last night about my close friend Frank. He told and taught me many things, a lot in story form. However Frank had some Maxims that showed him to be a very philosophical man.
Mr Frank told me a story once that his mother had told him about how the slaves worked on the plantation. Normally the owner would work the slaves 3 days a week. Seems odd how this is not the way people are taught to believe today, but it is what I was told, handed down through the generations. The slaves would work 3 days a week except during harvest season when all workers had to concentrate on getting in the crops, for bad weather could destroy a year’s work. Days then devoted to crop harvest could be 6 days a week unless something out of the ordinary happened. Crop gathering normally would be about 1 month although longer depending on circumstances. One day week, Sunday was given to the slaves in order they have a day of rest and worship. If they wanted a building for service it was provided and if they didn’t have a preacher among them, the overseer or owner would make sure they had one.
This left 3 days not accounted for. Those 3 days were for the slaves to manage their own affairs, working in their own crops, livestock or in some instances hiring our to other farmers for pay. It was their choice what they done with those 3 days.
However a problem arose. Seems some slaves never wanted to do anything. I was told if this was a majority or not, but that it was so bad at times, the slaves wouldn’t wash their clothes or work their crops(gardens) and livestock. It fell upon the overseer to actually have to force these people to work for their own food and to clean their own places of living.
Franks says nothing has changed in his lifetime as many black people still carry this attitude. But he said in fairness that other people do too. It was just more prevalent among blacks.
This not something money or education or anything else can fix. It is just a trait among people, more so in some than others. The only way to counter this is by NOT encouraging sloth and laziness in general. So giving people money, anybody, is encouraging those people to be self-sufficient and independent, but rather dependent.

Actually I consider it a form of compliment. But really, the racism part comes in when people are wanting to make it a power play, vying for power and authority over another. In that case, the picture can be taken as racist or bigoted by either side. Still, the point is, racism, like most everything else in life, is only what a person makes of it.
Does that make another person a racist for calling me a white cracker? I don’t think so, but if I like crackers and I fit their description, I guess to them I am a white cracker, which must mean I offend that person. That either they are really trying to pay me a compliment.
Maybe I can tell you about the colored fellow that helped raise me? I’ve already mentioned him once today, and I do think of him almost every day, even after 50 years. I’ve worked with him, stayed in his home, eat and drank with him out of his own glass and plate. He taught me a lot in life and I am so thankful for it and him. He is a part of my life and family.
He said one day, long ago, that he despised the word black and being called black. He said to him it was an insult and he went on to say that many colored people years ago thought the same thing. He said he preferred the word colored because he considered himself a man of color. That he wanted to have a colorful attitude about life. He said to him it also meant a form of charm and dignity as it does not define one as being one certain color. He said colored people are not black, but shades of brown. Nor did he like the Afro American theme that was beginning to take hold. He said that was nothing but black people trying to boost their ego and arrogance. He said he was an American and wanted to known as being an American. Color he said, had nothing to do with it.
Oh at the stories I learned and could tell from “Mr.” Frank (I use Mr. when paying higher respects among others. Normally he was just good ole Frank to me.) I could about how his mother grew up a slave and what she told him about that. (It’s different than anything you hear.) I could tell you about the jokes and good times we had together, all the while he was telling and teaching me things. It from relationships like this that love is born. Yes I loved ole Frank for the human being he was. He has become a part of me and he will always live on in me as long as I live. The world is desperately short of Franks today, in all colors, sizes and makes…… I miss him terrible…

Personally, as a 31 year navy veteran sworn to uphold the Constitution against all enemies both foriegn and domestic, I despise obama and his policies.
