Since taking office in 2009, President Obama has accomplished great things for the economy . . . of Brazil, that is. For some bizarre reason, Obama continues to do all he can to help out workers and businesses in South America’s largest nation.
We all remember the U.S. Export-Import Bank’s multi-billion dollar loan proposal to Petrobras – a large Brazilian oil firm – to aid in the development of Brazil’s deep sea oil exploration. And then, in early 2011, President Obama announced a “Strategic Energy Dialogue” with business leaders in Brazil that would, according to the Administration, result in the United States becoming one of the largest consumers of Brazilian energy.
Seeing the American president traveling around the globe, almost begging other nations to ramp up their energy production with billions of US dollars, is not just embarrassing; it’s incomprehensible given the extraordinary, untapped energy reserves available right here at home, especially in my home state of Alaska.
Now the Administration seems to be moving even more US dollars to Brazil. In a little covered story from a few days ago, it was revealed that the Air Force has turned down the bid from American aircraft manufacturer Hawker Beechcraft to produce a light attack armed reconnaissance aircraft. Hawker Beechcraft is based in Kansas and employs around 1,400 workers in 20 states. According to the company, $100 million had been invested over a two year period in working with the Air Force in developing the its AT-6 aircraft.
The winner of the nearly one billion dollar decision to terminate Hawker appears to be the Brazilian aircraft company Embraer and their “Super Tucano” airplane. It’s odd that the Air Force would prefer US pilots to fly in warzones in planes constructed in Brazil by Brazilian workers. Stranger yet, the favored company, Embraer, has recently been placed under investigation by the Securities and Exchange Commission for corruption.

The ex-president of Brasil, Colhor de Mello (sp?) stole apx. 13 Billion dollars from the Brazilian people. I used to serve his brother Pedro, who was responsible for turning in the criminal who ransacked his own country, at a churrascaria owned by Tito and Theresa Valiente in Miami. Tito was the number one importer of electronics products in South America. Theresa was a magnificent person. Sometimes Pedro had body guards – my best guess is that they were either US Marines or perhaps CIA? – they carried small automatic weapons under their jackets in a manner as to keep them out of sight. The rumor was that his brother had put a bounty on his head for having turned him in or provided his political enemies and prosecutors with evidence or words to that affect. Many years later a Brazilian in Las Vegas told me that Pedro had been 'gotten to' and was dead. I don't know if that's true, but I have no reason to doubt the people with whom I was speaking. My friend Mario who I worked with me at the Rodeo Grill on Ponce de Leon in Coral Gables had worked an event at Pedro's personal residence or attended one – I forget – and the man had a very old antique chair – you were not allowed to actually sit on it – worth millions of dollars; like it should have been in a museum. Who has a multi-million dollar antique chair in their house? I guess one would describe Pedro's brother, the one who robbed his own country blind, as a megalomaniac. I mean, how many billions does anybody really need? I was told that he owned vast expanses of land in Brasil that never in his life would he ever lay eyes on. How many extravagant villas does any man need? His insatiable greed is more offensive when one considers the abject poverty of so many Brazilians. But, that's the mindset of many well-to-do Brazilians. They are a very pompous, elitist lot. I lived in Sao Paolo in 1980. In Brazil there are only two classes. Those with a lot of money and those with none. I understand that it's changing and moving in the direction of socialism wherein there are those elitist leaders with a lot of money and power and the rest of the population who must count on their socialist leaders for hand-outs. That's what the liberals call "Change." The current president of Brazil is good friends with Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro. That fact alone speaks volumes. Read the book 'Eurabia' by Bat Ye'or so that you gain an understanding on the facilitation that socialist societies offers the advancement of the Islamic strategy of dhimmitude. It's a brilliant work.
There is nothing bizarre about one commie supporting another.
Wasn't Brazil one of those countries that supported the Nazi's?

Will the US citizenry be required to provide Secret Service protection to Obama when he and Michelle move to Brazil and he furthers his 'political' career down there?
