A recent Real Clear Politics projection predicts that the Republicans will have a net gain of four Senate seats, creating a 51-49 advantage for Republicans in the next congressional session. RCP’s compilation of polls also indicates that Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Missouri) will hold on to her seat. Republican challenger Todd Akin was been expected to win before the misstep in which he used the term “legitimate rape.” He has fervently apologized about that remark.
Tom Pauken served on Ronald Reagan’s White House staff and later became chairman of the Republican Party of Texas. He points out that Akin has had a solid record as both a social and economic conservative, so he is disappointed that members of Akin’s own party continue to throw him under the bus (see earlier story).

The citizens of Missouri better damn well vote with ME. McCaskill has GOT TO GO!
If Todd hadn’t used “legitimate” entirely or used the work “forceable”…there wouldn’t have been this topic for so many allegedly non-biased reporters and pundit to feast on. I’m tired of hearing what the other 49 states and the rest of the world has to say.
He’s human, he uttered one word for which he appologized. This incident should not dictate the character assassination that the world has put upon him. “For he who is without sin, let him cast the first stone”.
A misspoken statement is just a statement but what Clair McCaskill is doing to Missouri is a CRIME ! Todd Akin has a good solid record but Clair McCaskill is an Obama PUPPET, does everything he say’s and follows him like a dog ! Think about it people what’s worse a misstep in a statement by Tod Akin or ObamaCare, Islam, loss of freedom, taxes no one can afford, an over load of illegal aliens and Communism by Clair McCaskill and her puppet master Obama ? THINK ABOUT IT AND DON’T BE STUPID ! !
For Missourians to reelect McCaskill that would mean they would prefer to have someone who is a tax and spendaholic, who will do nothing to improve the economy and job availability for unemployed Missourians, who supports everything that the DNC tells her to support without giving it due deliberation and consideration as opposed to a man who is a true conservative but who committed a gaffe of wording on one occasion in response to a question concerning abortion and whether children conceived as a result of rape should be allowed to be aborted. He erred on the side of protecting the unborn rather than promoting and exalting the continued slaughter of children. He has apologized profusely which is much more than I can say for Biden who is a perpetual gaffe machine.
If Missourians really do reelect McCaskill, it kinda makes you wonder, are those people in Missouri really that dumb? Or maybe I should restrict that assessment to the women of MO, i.e. are the women of MO really that dumb? The democrats don’t want to remotely approach their record, McCaskill included, so they latch onto anything that will turn the spotlight off of them and serve as a perfect distraction. This is precisely what happened in 08 and why we now have what is doubtless the worst president in American history who is most likely a criminal fraud. Go ahead Missouri, make McCaskill and Obama’s day. You deserve another 4 years of such misery. That’s a fair trade for one man making an admitted mistake in wording to what was no doubt a media setup question designed to trap him. He stumbled into it on his own power and has no one to blame but himself but is that ultimately reason enough to choose 6 more years of McCaskill? Strip away all the emoting over Akin’s remark, and what you have left is….nothing, which pretty much sums up McCaskill!
