I own 15 or so semi auto guns. None of them have ever killed anyone. The broad on the right with the brown dress saying that no one other than military or law enforcement should own these is a foolish woman. And like most media folks, has no clue about firearms in general.

A weapon, arm, or armament is a tool or instrument used in order to inflict damage, harm or death to enemies or other living beings, structures, or systems. Weapons are used to increase the efficacy and efficiency of activities such as hunting, crime, law enforcement, and warfare. In a broader context, weapons may be construed to include anything used to gain a strategic, material or mental advantage over an adversary. Any instrument/object when used to cause bodily harm is an assault weapon. Water, sound, electricity can be also used as a weapon to assault.
There were weapons, murders and killings long before there were guns.
A person could take 3 guns that hold only six rounds each and take out up to 18 people. How does banning assault weapons stop people from killing? It DOESN’T!!! All it does is cause a person to come up with another plan.
Do people really think that banning what will be determined as assault weapons would have stopped the killers from accomplishing their task or obtaining a gun on the black market? Banning assault weapons will make the price go up on the black market. There are people who cannot buy a gun legally yet they still have then m or know how to purchase one.
Realize how many of these mass killing are done by the mentally unstable, a person on drugs and end up killing themselves after their killing spree. So we blame the gun not the medication. Why not ban drugs that alter a person thought patterns.
They have our kids on drugs, because there are people who cannot handle parenting and the trials and tribulations that go with parenting
I think every US citizen should have a gun and law enforcement classes to teach people how to use them.
If the every teacher at the school had a gun and knew how to use them there would have been less people killed, because someone could have taken him out. If a person got the idea to go to a school and shoot people and he knew every teacher had a gun and was trained on how to use them I am sure he would pick another place where no one had a gun.
Some say have an armed guard at every school. The guard cannot be at more than one place at a time. If the guard is at the front of the school and the shooter enters from the back or side door the gaurd cannot get to where the shooter is in time to stop him. If you rely on law enforcement it takes them a certain amount of time to get to the crime scene.
People ask the question: Why does a person need these type of guns. They have them because they want them and have the right to own them. Just because they own them does not mean they are going to go out and kill people.
If assault weapons were were banned it would not have stopped him. Maybe slowed him down. A person does not need an assault weapon to commit mass murder!

A guy in china slashed and killed 28 kids in a school with a knife. So yes,if someone is determined to do evil they will do evil with whatever method they can get their hands on. A Connecticut mental health bill was recently defeated, because the ACLU said the bill would infringe on patients’ privacy rights.
That bill was defeated by the same vermin on the left who are trying to take your guns away.
There have been over 12 shootings within the past 4 years. Why all of a sudden is the number of shootings on the increase and the time frame getting closer together? Could it be these shooters were hypnotized, put into a trance or programmed to do what they did and to kill themselves after they accomplished the act. What if one of the shooters were captured alive; Be interesting to see what would be uncovered.

Marxists-socialists cannot defeat the people until they get the guns. Its that simple. Look at the history of nations whose governments banned guns. Those citizens who could not defend themselves because they did not have guns to defend themselves. This debate will continue until the people put their collective foot down, and rid ourselves of leftists in our government.
How about the criminals, the thuggs, terrorist and the fact that our own government is arming agencies that have never been funded in this way before, hence the 2nd amendment, FEMA for example is one, why? The elected officials are releasing more criminals back into society, they are also reducing the potency of the police force, so if they, the elected officials are denied tax paid security protection, I would bet the question of a right to carry would no longer be in question….

1. Semiautomatic weapons can be easily turned into “machine guns”. Not on your life. Many can’t be converted at all. Of those that can, some can only by “breaking’ the weapon. It will only function like that a short time and can’t be accurately used as a weapon while it still operates. They are more of a threat to the shooter than to his target. The remainder require the careful work of a skilled gunsmith to make the conversion. In many cases, a small slip in the work could render the weapon useless. The work is cost-prohibitive in most cases. Not many people want to spend upwards of a thousand dollars on a weapon, then spend several thousands more on having it converted to automatic fire, only to have the person doing the work slip and ruin the original weapon beyond repair. Or to have the work fail after the first use with the same result. Very few people can afford that kind of risk.
2. Only kill 2 people with just a handgun? If that handgun has 8 rounds in the magazine and he has 4 magazines, there are 32 potential dead people. Shame on you, Nicole, for that blatant falsehood.
We cannot pin the atrocities perpetrated by a few deranged individuals on the type of weapon used. We already have laws restricting the legal sale, transfer, and ownership of automatic weapons. Does that stem the flow of automatic weapons into the gangs and drug cartels within America? No, not one bit. They’ll still have access to the international black market built up around foreign-made automatic weapons, which is where they get their weapons today. And there are significantly more homicides committed with illegal weapons in the hands of gang members than there have been in mass shootings in the past year, 5 years, 10 years, 20 years, and so on. The only thing the banning of “assault-type” weapons will accomplish is to take them out of the hands of legal owners, the overwhelming majority of whom would never commit a crime anyway.
The weapon is not the enemy. The ignorance of those with a large audience, on the other hand, is one.
We need more focus on our mental health programs and getting potentially dangerous people into treatment earlier. Remember, the mother of the shooter couldn’t get him institutionalized for treatment and care because of the actions of the ACLU. Let’s lay the blame where it belongs, at the hands of a deranged shooter and the people whose actions caused a potential threat to society to be left free without restriction on his activities, without treatment for his condition.
Shame on you all for your furthering of the misconceptions and misinformation on weapons and weapon control in America.
