Aside from his foreign police, he’s a very candidate. I don’t hold with his pacifist views.
Ron Paul is neither a pacifist nor an isolationists. Ron Paul knows and understands the importance of folllowing the Constitution and only if the need arises to go to war then Congress needs to officially Declare War, and we should have a specific mission of the war outlined, and not just go to war indescriminately with no exit strategedy outlined.
War is costly in both dollars and manpower, and we should not be fighting in foreign nations and taking this costly burdon on without getting anything in return for our investment of both money and men. If a foreign nation asks for our help then they should be paying for our help by either monetary payment or natural resources. But fighting a foreign war for another nation that can afford to fight their own war and using their own men and treasure is just plain stupid, but that has been the policy of the united states for many years, and unfortunately still continues today with Obama at the helm.
