When Sarah Palin’s “Going Rogue” was released in late 2009, people around the country stood in line for hours to meet her at book signings, and to shake her hand and ask her to run for president in 2012. And this was after the MSM had spent nearly a year and half dragging her and her family through the mud, accusing Palin of every misdeed imaginable, and going out of their way to remind us how unprepared Palin was for the vice presidency (according to MSM standards of course).
From the release of “Going Rogue” through the November 2010 elections, Palin traveled to Tea Party gatherings around the country and endorsed candidates (43 House candidates, 30 of which won, and 12 Senate candidates, 7 of which won). Following the elections she launched a reality show – “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” – that drew historic levels of viewers and teed liberals off something fierce because it showed Palin using a gun to kill a caribou, a club to kill a fish, and more importantly, using a weekly one-hour program to show liberals how to stand up and fight like a man.
And after the media trashed her for her Tea Party speeches, mocked the candidates she endorsed, and made fun of her reality show, she launched a bus tour that began with a DC motorcycle rally on March 29, 2011, wherein crowds of people gathered round her and begged her to run for president in 2012.
By the way, Palin also endorsed gubernatorial candidates in 2010, one of which was Republican Governor Rick Perry: a true conservative and thus a Tea Party favorite.
It was he who caused all the excitement at an Austin, Texas, Tea Party on April 15, 2009, when, after giving a speech criticizing the intrusiveness of the federal government, he added: “My hope is that America and Washington in particular pays attention. We’ve got a great union. There’s absolutely no reason to dissolve it. But if Washington continues to thumb their nose at the American people, who knows what may come of that.”

I do not like Rick Perry for the GOP nomination. Too many faults, especially how the Texas economy has tanked during his reign as governor. He is a globalist as well as a RINO. Nor do I want Palin to run for President (it is not personal, as I would rather her run for Senate). Bachmann, West, Christie, and especially Ron Paul (the true Constitutionalist who could straighten out our economy by bringing home our troops from Iraq and Afghanistan, after declaring victory and abolishing the IRS, as he has stated he would do).
Texas' economy has not "tanked", it is the number one state with economic growth, particularly since they put controls on suing doctors during Perry's first term. Learn some facts and then post. Ron Paul would make a great Treasury Secretary, but not a President. How long has he been in Congress?? And have you ever heard of any dynamic legislation he introduced, helped pass, or promoted before he ran in 2008? NO. This country doesn't need another government lifer for President.

In a 63-33 procedural vote, the U.S. Senate has effectively killed the ridiculous Clinton-era law regarding homosexual service in the military. The vote gives President Barack Obama his second big win in a week–and produces another high-profile loss for the increasingly irrelevant John McCain.
Though a formal vote on the bill itself (which has passed the House and will require only 51 Senate votes to go to the president) is still to come this afternoon and the changes will take some time to implement, the United States is on the verge of joining the rest of the “civilized” world in allowing openly gay soldiers to serve their country and to be killed in stupid wars.
For the record, here are other countries that allow homosexuals to serve in the military: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and Uruguay.
