WASHINGTON (AP) — Sarah Palin says she won’t speak at the Republican National Convention later this month in Tampa, Fla.

The 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee says she’s excited to hear from this year’s candidates.

Palin says in a statement that she supports Mitt Romney and his running mate, Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan, and will focus on grassroots efforts to help get the pair elected.

  1. A relief that she won’t speak. I;ll admit I loved he 2008 speech, but she simply wasn’t up to the job. She’s beautiful, she’s patriotic, she’s interesting, but wrong for the job. She pissed off more people than she won over.

  2. She has more brains then OhBummer could ever have. She puts him to shame. I would have liked her and Rush as speakers. Either one needs a teleprompter unlike YouWho! I think when Palin joined McCain it drew way more people then he would have gotten w/out her. Unfortunately he wouldn’t let her do what she wanted to do. He was more concerned about OhBummer than what OhBummer would do to this country. And his being Mr. Nice guy got us a dictator. I lost my respect for him after that. And he continues to want to Work w/the DamnOCraps! Good Lord he will NEVER get it!
