Palin Adviser Slams Bachmann Strategist Ed Rollins For Dissing The Ex-governor

EdRollins 300x225 Palin adviser slams Bachmann strategist Ed Rollins for dissing the ex governor

It looks like Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann might genuinely be frenemies now.

A day after Ed Rollins, Bachmann’s top political adviser, trashed Palin in a radio interview, a top adviser to the former Alaska governor slammed the longtime GOP strategist and called on the Bachmann camp to retract his statements.

“Beltway political strategist Ed Rollins has a long, long track record of taking high profile jobs and promptly sticking his foot in his mouth,” Michael Glassner, Palin’s chief of staff, said in a statement to Politico’s Ben Smith. “To no one’s surprise he has done it again, while also fueling a contrived narrative about the presidential race by the mainstream media. One would expect that his woodshed moment is coming and that a retraction will be issued soon.”

As The Ticket previously reported, Rollins criticized Palin Tuesday, insisting she’s not as qualified to be president as Bachmann and is a joke candidate.

“Sarah has not been serious over the last couple of years,” Rollins said. “She got the vice presidential thing handed to her. She didn’t go to work in the sense of trying to gain more substance. She gave up her governorship.”

Hey Michele,Fire that idiot,Sarah is a friend and this guy can only hurt the both of you

    • 1minuteman says:

i agree. we dont need 2 good people fighting who believe in basically the same things. we need to be attacking the progressives like obama and rino's like lydsay graham.

  2. donjusko says:

Fire the idiot. It's not up to Ed Rollins to decide who we want, stick to the issues jerk. Bachmann’s not to blame yet but if she doesn't fire him she will be. That would be a shame because I like Bachmann but she has to show she can't be pushed around.

  3. Benton Bain says:

Mrs. Sarah Palin is one of only a few that are honest enough that are not being paid as a government employee while looking for another job.

  4. Rhondaher says:

Ladies, please, this is not the time to bicker with each other. The fire is hot and we are all in this soup together. We need both of you to be working together not apart. You are much better than the rest of them out there and I think we expect to see dignity from our candidates, not slam dunk as usual. We need to play the game our way and not fall into the traps the enemy sets for us. Tell the guys to put their ego's on the shelf. It's not about who is better than who. It's about saving this country. It may already be too late.

  5. Rhondaher says:

If Sarah disclosed everything she would tip her hand to the enemy. Sorry people but this is warfare. You don't announce your battle strategy. Not in less you want to lose as would seem the case with our own Government in their foreign policy. I believe in Sarah Palin and I believe she quit her position to work full time at saving this country. She does not need to explain in detail all her reasons. Do you tell everyone every detail of why you make personal decisions? I think not. Get off Sarah Palin's back and get out there and start being part of the solution instead of arm chair critique..

  6. gntrker says:

Hey Michele tell Rollins to tone it down, maybe appoligize.

  7. What a stupid thing to do. We need both of these strong women who are proponents of fiscal and personal conservatism. Driving a wedge between the two is just plain idiotic, all conservatives need to show a united front, no matter their title or position. The point is returning the country to an independent, free enterprise, capitalistic, freedom loving country, no matter who is at the helm, COUNTRY FIRST!!!

Get rid of the jerk, he's more devisive, smut throwing negatism….clean the swamp, so to speak.

  8. Barbara says:

Ladies, you two need to have a one on one, with no one else around. This in fighting will get bo reelected. If by some chance you two are the GOP ticket you must be able to work together. Work together and you can save the country. Stand alone and we all will suffer.

  9. Karen Ellison says:

I TOTALLY AGREE, MICHELLE BACHMANN NEEDS TO FIRE ROLLINS! I WAS SHOCKED WHEN SHE HIRED HIM, IN THE FIRST PLACE. HE'S A BELTWAY GUY, SEEN ALOT ON THE LAMESTREAM MEDIA PROGRAMS, BUT NOT ON FOX!!! HE'S FAMOUS FOR HIS GAFFS!!! HANG IT UP ROLLINS, AND FIND ANOTHER JOB FIELD!!! I'M AFRAID IF MICHELLE KEEPS HIM ON, SHE'LL LOSE SOME VOTING CONSTITUENTS!!!

  10. Karen Ellison says:

Rollin's is Old School. Out with the old, in with the new, Michelle!

  11. Boys will be boys!
Michelle & Sarah had better step in & defuse this issue for it will help neither in the long run pertaining to their campaigns.

  12. If Michelle insists on continuing her political relationship with Rollins, she doesn't deserve to be seriously considered as a Republican candidate for President. Rollins and his mouth will wind up destroying her and her political goals. Dump him, Michelle!!
