The Democrat habit of appointing “good Democrats” to positions, without regard for the required administrative skills it calls for, is hurting almost 900,000 disabled veterans.
The incompetence of Barack Obama’s Veterans Affairs Department has created a bureaucratic nightmare in which more than 65% of its disability claims sit on someone’s desk for more than 125 days. On top of this, 16% of the cases that are brought to resolution are done so in error, according to veterans’ advocate groups’ testimony to the House Veterans Affairs Committee last week.
The V.A is totally underprepared for the predictable increase in disability claims caused by stepped-up fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan. The current projections of a 1.2 million case backlog and an extra 50,000 cases a year present a sobering scenario in light of the so-far failed administration of V.A. Secretary Eric Shinseki, a Hawaiian Democrat and retired Army General.
In response to the cold facts of his failure, Shinseki did what any good Democrat does; he promised better results by some future date. He told his critics he would have 98% of his agencies’ disability claims settled in less than 125 days by 2015, when he should be long gone.
The failures of the Veterans Benefit Management System (VBMS) to properly care for those who have been injured protecting our freedoms cannot be blamed solely on Shinseki. As is the case whenever any good and upright undertaking is malfunctioning in Barack Obama’s America, the Faker in Chief is at the root of the problem. While Obama has spent wildly hiring thousands of new IRS agents to make us knuckle under to his Obamacare scheme, he is grossly underfunding the VBMS. The VA has requested just $92.3 million for 2013 in spite of having spent a total of $343.6 million in 2011 and 2012.
It’s easy to see where Obama’s priorities are, and they are not with caring for the veterans who have been disabled in the service of our country.

This is one reason I question the wisdom of so many guys signing up for the military to begin with. There are so many of them left to fend for themselves after they’ve been shipped back home with all kinds of injuries and sickness……surely you’d think they’d pass the word to their friends and disuade them from signing up. Of course we have to have a military, but unless America’s military undergoes some vast changes, our country cannot be protected as it should.
Hopefully all veterans will remember this when November 6 comes……ya think?????

I’m at a loss for words. Why do taxpayers, keep electing the same bunch of idiots W/ ( 81 Socialists) back to both Senate and House of Reps? It appears that most of whats accomplished is argue with each trying to impress each other and as a result nothing comes of it. Both Reid and Polosi and the leaders and all march to the tune of Obama. WHY? Why not just turn over the keys to Obama with his Czars and Executive Orders and get out of the way. None of our elected officials have the guts to stand up and do anything to stop him.
Obama (along with Biden, the brain dead barrister and Clinton, the draft dodger) should serve 6 months of Marine Boot Camp under the command of 3 or 4 good old fashioned Drill Sergeants – and then a mandatory 2 years in the Afghan Desert getting better acquainted with the Taliban! Then, it they manage to avoid coming home in a box—let’s see how these three lawyer con-men feel about our Disabled and Surviving Veterans!
I tell you what…………These soldiers will have to be discarded just like the elderly will be…………..THEY WILL NOT BE COST EFFECTIVE!!!..This regime is NO different than hitlers……….if you are NOT productive you will be allowed to die, or helped to die, there is NO way ovomitcare can give ANY kind of quality care, NO ONE will be allowed to live that needs 24/7 care, maybe not killed out right at first, but will be denied healthcare
I am a Vietnam Vet and I have noted that Obama has little to nmo regard for The U.S. Armed Forces nor any of the Veterans! He is a damned Muslim and bows over backwards to kiss their asses! Hw would rather prosecute a veteran rather than to find olut why one or others snap; while under pressure! Take the solder that went on a rampage in AFAGANASTAN and killed several families—It was his fifth tour of duty over there. Anyone ever hear of P.T.S.D. (Post Tramatic Stress Disorder!!! Obama and the Brass are just as guilty as if they pulled the trigger themselves! Then what about the Muslim Psychiatrist at Fort Hood that killed several Army Personnel—He got trialed for “Public Disturbance ” and got a slap on the hand!!
The Solder that did the shooting in AFAGANASTAN is in Fort Levenworth, KS, Federal Pen and will be put on trial for “First Degree Muirder”! You call this a Democracy and Leadership–MY ASS!!

I found out that I was exposed to Agent Orange in Vietnam in 1972. Put in a claim in July 2011, showed I was on the ground, even hospitalized at Tan San Nhut AB, and had the medical records submitted through the VA clinic in Manila. No denial, no approval, NOTHING.
