Perhaps it’s a good thing that the U.S. Senate didn’t take up a resolution on Barack Obama’s status as a “natural born Citizen” in 2008 – as members did for GOP candidate Sen. John McCain while both were seeking the U.S. presidency.
The Democrat might not have qualified under the requirements the Senate, including Obama, a co-sponsor and then-senator, put in the resolution, including the demand that the candidate have “American citizen” parents.
The candidates’ circumstances were not the same: Questions were raised over McCain’s eligibility under the Constitution’s demand that a president be a “natural born Citizen,” because he was born to American citizen military parents while they are on assignment overseas.
The specific allegations have been placed online by YouTube participate PPSimmons, who previously has analyzed and provided commentary on the issues of eligibility to the presidency:

Right on target. The "British Nationality Act of 1948" was the controlling "Law of Nations" at the time of the usurpers birth. Citizenship, pursuant to Part II, BNA provides that citizenship devolves from the "British subjects" father, to any children, no matter where they were born in the world! This is a "constitutional issue in that congress is compelled to honor and support the "Law of Nations".

Obama's father wasn't even a "resident alien" .. he was here a a student and therefore has NO STANDING .. not to mention as a British subject at the time his citizenship would be bestowed on any child regardless of country of birth … now you want to talk about Barry Soetoro and what citizenship he held?

I had just written to Senator McCain a week ago requesting clarification on this matter and had written to Tom McClintock a number of times. Tom is trying to weasel out of it but I will not let him. I am going to question him at his next town-hall meeting. That should be a lot of fun. I will also ask the audience for their feelings if Tom should be pursuing the matter of Obamas disqualification from POTUS. A number of other people are going to be pinning him down. We will not let it go away. After this next meeting I am sure he will not be handing me the mic, but I will have others get the mic and hand it to me. He told one of my friends he was confident of obama’s qualification because he had checked the newspapers in Hawaii to find obama’s birth listing. He will learn the history of natural born citizen from day one when I start my speals. This matter is way to grave to let it go until November. The faster we get Obama out, the better for the United States. He will be understanding that he is complacent to the crimes of obama if he does not start proceedings. Everybody should start clamping down hard on their representatives and let them know that their future in congress is at stake for them doing as we wish. Is that not why they are voted into office? Write letter after letter and do not let it down.
