You know, I’m just going to put one of my “wacky” libertarian thoughts out there. Why can’t the free market serve as an active substitute for 911? At least that way, there will be accountability when they fail to show up on time, instead of them getting off scott-free. What do you think?

What a joke, people in Chicago are getting raped on their property taxes that are reviewed every three years. If someone purchased a house twenty-five years ago for $40,000.00 and the property increased in value to $500,000.00, they are taxed at the $500,000.00 rate and as such they should expect timely response from a 911 emergency call. What a joke, a city with one of the highest murder rates in the country is now reducing their response time to citizen’s 911 calls. It sounds like Rahm Emanuel, the Mayor of Chicago might have convened a board of individuals who will determine the severity of the call and dispatch police accordingly.
If Chicago gets away with it soon downstate will do the same. downstate our houses aren’t worth as much as they would be if they were in Chicago so the state adds a multiplier to our taxes to equal Chicago home prices. If our house was bought for 40,000.00 and current value is 140,000 they multiply the 140,000 by 1.25 and then tax it at 175,000.00 value. They also increase the est. value of the house every year. Gotcha!!!!
It really is going to be open warfare in Chicago now. They forbid citizens from owning guns and now they will not send cops for a 911 call. How much dumber can they be?
