Form of death for treason is not specified, just it carries the sentence/option of death. But no worry, it ain’t gonna happen to any president or high government officials, as they all have their backs covered, even from the opposing parties. It would take a revolution and an all new government to bring true justice back to the country. This is the first I’ve heard that Nancy Pelosi was at the State Department or at the White House watching these events. I don’t like her either but I don’t for a second believe that she was involved in this. This was strictly President Obama’s deal and even Hillary got sucked in, but she is complicit. If you have been paying any attention to the military upper echelon, for the past years they have become more and more political, succumbing to the whims of Obama or Islamist pressure groups. I cannot conceive of Leon Panetta running the Pentagon; West Point had Gen. Boykin scheduled to speak to the corps of Cadets – *Boykin is as anti Islamist’ – a coterie of Islamist Grand Pooh-Bahs went to the commandant of the Military Academy, complained-knowing it would be all anti Islamic , and Boykin’s invitation was rescinded; military training manuals, upon pressure by powerful islamists in thei country complained because there were parts detrimental to Islamist and Islam – those parts no longer exist. So I imaagine when our troops are training to go to the mid-east, instead ‘be wary of Islamist soldiers, the manuals now read ‘greet the Islamist enemy warmly. A professor at one of the war colleges was removed from class for teaching similar .
A few years ago, a private American took it upon themselves to send hundreds and hundreds of Bibles to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan-hoping they might provide some comfort to the boys – the Pentagon had them collected and burned using the excuse we were not supposed to be evangelizing Islamists.. A. They do not speak our language and B. when were able to do this – between bullets and roadside bombs? It is all a crock. I served over 25 years in the Army, retiring as a colonel, and can tell you there are specific provisions in the UCMJ which allow for disobeying unlawful orders and protect those who do so. Of course, one has to have the backbone to stand up and object, to do the right thing, even if it might cost a career.

You are kidding; right?
Of course there are provisions in disobeying a direct order. But there were also provisions concerning this under Hitler! Did it accomplish anything? What was the verdict from the Nuremberg trials? Just because there can be protests to an order does not mean it is giving legitimate authority in doing so. Meaning just because there is a provision for such, that does not give a person the right to claim that provision. Now of course it appears that anyone protesting what they consider an unlawful order would be exercising their right. However in reality they are treated as guilty and they must produce evidence and facts beyond any reasonable doubt to vindicate themselves. In the military or any trial without a public jury this becomes a charade, a circus so-to-speak, with any verdict depending solely upon the opinions, whims or discretion of the judges. Opinions are more important than facts. What is not said is just as important as what is said. In short it is a simple matter of interpretation and opinions. This is exactly how the American judges reached their verdicts against the NAZIs at Nuremberg. While the NAZIs were in fact guilty, the reasoning was flawed by both the defendants and the judges.
Of course you wanna know how one can make such a bold statement as this seems asinine and contradictory. Well the Germans knew they could not protest any order they personally deemed immoral; don’t you agree? Because if they did, the German military would have them court martialed; Right? This is in spite of the fact under German military protocols it was permissible to object to a direct order if one thought it immoral. I ask you heir General; what would you do if you were a loyal NAZI? Of course you would do as you were told and if you were a general or cabinet member you would have all the more reason to follow orders. And to dramatize this, look at what happens to generals who actually tries to follow moral principles, look at Beck, Oster and Stauffenberg just to start.
You are actually trying to tell us that the US military is more humane than the Germans, more civilized and more moral, more than anyone else? I’ll tell you it is NOT! The US Military is made up of people just like people from any country. The same applies to the politicians regardless of political systems and affiliations. They have no more or less morals than the next. What they do have is similar to any great power of its’ time. They have experienced leadership in warfare and civil control. They have the most technology of the day. And they have the will of the people, who have taught to satisfy this military thirst for superiority and power, being taught they are the “invincibles” of their day. It’s only a simple matter of brainwashing the public into accepting anything they are told as being good for the country, which they are led to believe is also good for them. Nothing has changed in over 2000 years. The Roman military of 2000 years ago is the same as the US military of today, and both are driven by Imperial powers, NOT Republics! Neither were the Germans any different in their day. How about the militaries of Greece, Carthage and Persia; wanna cover their morals, ethics and protocols too?
The judges reasoning is flawed because as military men and government judges of stature, they knew morality without the writ of the law can always be questioned. They knew any law whether military or civilian can be questioned and objected too. Thus the question becomes; how does one morally object to a law? Which begs the question, aren’t laws made with morality and integrity in mind? I’ll say not always, and today not even for the most part. Even when morality is considered it is not possible to take into consideration all the variables and circumstances that could nullify the law. Case in point, Nuremberg. While Hitler was responsible for initiating the laws that his officers were tried for. No morality was involved, and the judges used this excuse to condemn the men. The judges simply used the excuse they gave in order to justify their guilty verdict when in reality the officers were guilty simply be the fact they followed NAZI orders which ended up with the murder of 100s of thousands of people. (Morality is NOT an issue when people are murdered in cold blood, deliberately.) However they were simply guilty by being losers. It would have been simple enough to try them on the simple charges of murder, as murder needs no moral justification, for it has none. Thus the Nuremberg trials were nothing more than “Show Trials” designed to appease the victorious public of the victors and to further humiliate the defeated. (I have no problem humiliating my opponents, but I have major problems doing so under the color of the law as were the Nuremberg Trials. It was a circus to justify the victor’s superiority and nothing else!
Fast forward to today and we have one Lt. Col. Terrence Larkin. He decided to test his rights to protest a direct order. Look where it landed him!

Rightly or wrongly, there is always a price to be paid for protesting any order. It’s not a matter of protesting the order, it’s the matter of the repercussions regardless of the validity. We see this constantly in the military, of which I could post dozens if not hundreds of instances where sub-ordinate officers protested direct orders, and they paid the price for doing so.
You got only one thing completely right in your post. It takes backbone to protest any direct order. Of course you being a colonel at one time, you know that the younger the soldier the less capable and willing they are to object to any order. It’s the way they are trained…. Get’em young and dumb, as the saying goes…. And finally I’ll close by saying that is why the US military is not a fit place for anyone of morals and knowledge to serve in. It goes in direct opposition of true morality and understanding of what actually makes a country great. A great military can always make a country militarily great, but it does absolutely nothing in making a country a good and decent country, specifically a moral country.

My point in my assertions is that there is such a thing as the color of the law that is derived from the writ of the law. Anyone can argue the color of the law especially from a moral basis and that was the example I gave.
In a day and age where there is no longer any basis for morality except as the writ of law; from which morality is determined by the vote of the people or the determination of a few; then morality has become nothing more than an argument as people stumble upon themselves deciding what is the color of morality…..(Meaning to what degree and what essence is the morality in question being addressed.) Morality is NOT a shade of grey, nor is it determined by man. As the world loses what morality it has left, society loses the ability to distinguish right from wrong, and they replace that morality with their desires. Then society has become a circus of clowns, which it is practically there. My “strawman” argument had merit. There is nothing wrong about using strawman arguments when the conclusions are valid!

The Israelis knew everything about the USS Liberty. This was no accident or misjudgement. It was cold blooded murder, calculated. There is nothing unfortunate about this from their POV. Read the links I posted.. What I really want to know is; what was the USS Liberty on the verge of finding out concerning the Israelis? During the Viet-Nam war when the US was particularly ‘wanting out’, Johnson called in the Joint Chiefs of Staff to his office – wanting them to tell him to escalate the war – they told him just the opposite – and cursing, he threw them out of his office – 4 men w/over 100 yrs. of military knowledge vs Johnson’s amoral self. Thousands and thousands more were killed – what is it with Democratic presidents thinking our military – or anyone in the US – is dispensible? Where do they get that mindset. He, like Obama was politically corrupt – he won one term in Congress by 47 votes – they jokingly called him Landslide Lyndon – sound a bit corrupt. Then, to protect himself – he had his Gag order of ’54 pushed through Congress so no religious entities could any longer denigrate him into losing the next election …..the devil’s spawn.

These WestPac countries were feared because of some idiot president and this cabinet thinking they were going to island hop right into the US….Cambodia (was loaded w/drugs) and Vietnam especially. It would have been over in ten minutes had they managed to set foot on US soil = but no, we went into jungle fighting about which we knew nothing and they knew everything.
We did know about jungle fighting because that is what we did in the south Pacific during WW 2. That is why the fighting in the South Pacific was so different than the fighting in Europe.
None of this surprises me! Democrat liberals are never held accountable for their wrong doings, even when they are proven guilty for commiting crimes on purpose. It started way back when Senator Byrd (KKK Grand Dragon), was left off the hook. Then came Clinton who was left off the hook for selling missile guidance technology to the Chinese and was not prosecuted for rape. Now there is Obama who is half black and is treated like a protected species as all liberal blacks in government (black caucus, NAACP), etc. Affirmative action should be defunded. You are EXACTLY right! Nothing will happen because of the same reasons lovinspoonful knew that the US was not to win in Korea or Nam. Nor will he be prosecuted, not by any means! In simple terms, it’s past the ability of the public to demand and receive justice from the government any longer, and has been this way for decades, but only since Clinton has it become blatant. Let’s just, ain’t N-O-B-O-D-Y gonna hold congress or the POTUS or the SCOTUS accountable for anything because you now have a Imperialistic government, and has been for decades, only now is this also becoming blatant. This is why the elections next month is gonna change anything. For better or for worse, my personal opinion at this moment is, Obama has it. Not that I am for him, I am not, but it’s the way the system is currently run. I could be wrong but I doubt it. Either way, you’re gonna have heaps of problems….. The “impeachment hearing” is set for Tuesday 6 November; it’s called an election. And voting for a third-party candidate, Libertarian or Constitution Party, won’t do the job; Romney needs every conservative vote he can get, especially from those living in swing states.
And yes, I agree, Obama should be tried criminally for his handling of Benghazi. But much more importantly, and probably more realistically, we need to remove him from the White House so we can get to work restoring the republic and reversing our slide into the status of a third world country.
Consider this: Justice Scalia is 78, Kennedy is 78, Breyer is 76, Ginsburg is 81 and in poor health. Whoever is President for the next 4 years will probably shape the Court for decades to come. Romney has promised to appoint Justices like Scalia, Thomas, Roberts, and Alito. Obama’s choices have been Sotomayor and Kagan. Can you imagine Supreme Court Justice Eric Holder?
And there have been doubts aboutObama’s choices for the Supreme Court. He needs to be prosecuted and tried for his part in the raid on the consulate in Benghazi and the murder of 4 men. But, he is not the only one – so does Hilary and anyone else involved in it. Who ordered the ridiculous story of the video?

What all of you FAIL to realize is that the government now in power originates from 1860 and Lincoln, NOT 1776 and 1789. You can’t understand that what you experience today from government comes from precedents which broke the US Constitution of 1789 in 1860. The video I am linking to below is just a reflection of this and in reference to USArny concerning “haunting” by the dead. In a sense what we see today is the “haunting” of a repressive and tyrannical government by the ghosts of the past. You could say the chickens are coming home to roost. And you can rightfully say this is the reason the war of 1861-1865 is not over.
One last thing, the video refers to the KKK, but KNOW this fact, the KKK referred too is the ORIGINAL KKK which was FIGHTING the carpetbaggers and the yankee occupiers, NOT specifically the black people, except those that were aiding the carpetbaggers and yankee occupiers. The KKK as is known today evolved in 1879 from remnants of the original KKK as it withered away due to several factors. Those remaining members became more radical and vengeful towards anyone whom they thought stood in their way. As president US Grant didn’t help this situation by enacting regulations and laws that specifically targeted this new KKK, as it only incited more people to join the new KKK in efforts to stop anything coming from DC being mandated upon them. The people simply saw this as another insult and an act of aggression against those who had lost the war and lost so much in losing that war.
