On Wednesday Barack Obama used children as props in order to attempt to pull on the heartstrings of the public, snookering them into supporting his proposals for gun bans and a national database of all gun owners. Supposedly the message in the photo-op is that no matter how egregious the attack on the rights of the people, as long as it is done “for the children” any act of government tyranny is justified.
Regarding Obama’s disgraceful use of children in a debate about guns, it is to be noted that notorious dictators such as Joseph Stalin, Adolf Hitler, Chairman Mao, and Fidel Castro all used children as props. And each first registered all gun owners prior to a systematic program of gun confiscation, leading to the Holocaust that killed 7 million Jews and 5 million political dissidents, and to the scourge Stalin conducted in the Soviet Union that resulted in the murders of 27 million Russians. Chairman Mao’s rampage in China after his Communist takeover of the country resulted in the cold blooded murders of upwards of 60 million Chinese.
Progressives have often denounced comparing Obama to Hitler and Stalin. But the comparisons are stark and obvious, not only in his use of children as propaganda tools but attempting to make law by executive order.
Executive orders were originally intended to enable presidents to issue directives within the executive branch of government alone. The president, according to the Constitution, is the chief officer of the executive branch and thus is empowered to set policy and issue directives regarding the various agencies of the executive branch.
Executive orders have no authority outside the executive branch of government. Thus, any directive issued by Obama in the form of executive orders that are aimed at creating law in areas Congress refused to do so, or to order citizens to engage in certain activity, such as the horrendous executive order issued Wednesday to make doctors, in essence, spies for the federal government with regard to guns in the homes of their patients.

Why do you keep saying the same thing in every post every where you go? Women are constitutionally guaranteed the right to decide what to do with their own bodies, get over it. You don’t get to decide.

The biggest concern I have about the new health care law is that two (2) sections of the Act fall under the umbrella of the “EXECUTIVE BRANCH” along with “executive” pay scales. 1-‘‘SEC. 1899A. (a) ESTABLISHMENT.—There is established an independent board to be known as the ‘Independent Medicare Advisory Board-IMAB’ and 2-SEC. 5101. NATIONAL HEALTH CARE WORKFORCE COMMISSION (All health care organizations, unions – read both sections to see what all this entails)
Section 3101 establishes the various ways that the federal government will obtain sensitive patient information. Par for the course with the federal government where abstract terms are used to distract from the real objectives: no matter which “option/s” is chosen, government bureaucrats would have access to the health records of every American – including you. There are major problems with any one of these “options.” First is the obvious breach of patient confidentiality. The federal government does not exactly have a stellar track record when it comes to managing private information about its citizens.
Why should we trust that the federal government would somehow keep all patient records confidential? In one case, a government employee’s laptop containing information about 26.5 million veterans and their spouses was stolen from the employee’s home. There’s also the HHS contractor who lost a laptop containing medical information on about 50,000 Medicare beneficiaries. And, we cannot forget when the USDA’s computer system was compromised and information along with photos of 26,000 employees, contractors, and retirees was accessed. Cyber-attacks are still another example.
The second concern is the government’s compulsion to seize details about private business practices (i.e. Koch brothers and other oppositional/conservative businesses (Gibson Guitars), corporations as well as potentially oppositional individuals). Certainly many health insurance companies that defended and were strong advocates for the President’s health care law, likely did not know this was part of the bargain. Other sections in the bill establishes even MORE rules and regulations regarding hospitals, providers, other health service oriented organizations and what they will be required to do even right down to “fingerprinting.” (See: Federal Registry outlines rules/regulations business, health care providers, organizations, etc. must follow.)
Insurance companies and health care providers will be asked to provide proprietary information to government for purposes that will undermine their competitiveness. Obama and Sebelius made such a big deal about Americans being able to keep the coverage they have under ObamaCare; but with these provisions, such private insurance companies may cease to exist if insurers are required to divulge their business models. Businesses have lost confidential data through mismanagement, theft, cyber-attacks etc., just like the federal government has; but the power of the “market” and/or individuals can punish the private sector – but a “victim” can’t fire a bureaucratic agency.
What happens to all this data collected by the government if more laptops are lost? What recourse do individual citizens have against an inept bureaucrat who leaves the computer unlocked? Imagine a Wikileaks-sized disclosure of every Americans’ health histories. What about the misuse of data for political gain. Remember the movie the “Net”? What about “political appointees” being able to access data. The results could be devastating – embarrassing – even Orwellian.
With its extensive rule-making decrees, committees and agencies created under the Act, reflects an exercise in creating authority out of thin air at the expense of individuals’ rights, freedoms, and liberties. The ability of the federal government to spy on, review, approve and dictate individuals’ private patient-doctor interactions is an excessive power-grab. Copy of Section follows. BUT, there is more. Some portions of the Health Care Act were initiated in the Stimulus Package.
Hitler, Mao, Stalin, some elite dictators who used children as propaganda props. Obama can now add his name to that list. Obama is a want to be dictator and this 23 point gun plan was a power grab to rob the American people of the 2′nd Amendment. Had not the opposition been so loud and strong Obama would have issue EOs to ban guns. I do not trust him the least bit as he has proven that he’s a bald face liar.
