August 2, Breitbart.com dropped the bombshell that Team Obama was trying to disenfranchise our troops in Ohio by filing a lawsuit against the state because there “was no rational basis” to allow troops to vote up to three days before the election in order to accommodate such things as deployments, training exercises, etc. That Team Obama knew the military generally voted for conservative, pro-military candidates (i.e, Mitt Romney) and wanted to suppress any votes for Romney.
Team Obama opined in a fervent religious tone that Ohio’s statute accommodating our troops’ extenuating circumstances wasn’t “fair” to the other voters.
Of course the question is, if the lawsuit was so noble, why was it done in secret? When the DOJ was suing states over voter ID requirements, Eric Holder was shouting from the highest mountain in righteous indignation.
The answer is that they knew the public would be outraged.
Now that the truth is known, Team Obama and their surrogates are going into spin mode, focusing on Romney, who joined in the collective outrage at Obama’s perfidiousness.
Team Obama claims it is a false issue. That it has no basis.That it is ludicrous to believe that they want to disenfranchise our troops in order to suppress votes for Romney.
Really?
Is that why the Washington Examiner, the Washington Times, and hundreds of other organizations have substantiated everything the original Breitbart.com post stated?
Is that why over a dozen military groups, including the National Guard Association, Association of the United States Army, Association of the United States Navy, and the Marine Corps League are vehemently opposed to Team Obama’s lawsuit?
Our Commander-in-Chief has once again shown himself to be the Community-Organizer-in-Chief.
