Obama Disses American Students Overseas

barack obama5327 300x200 Obama disses American Students overseas

There’s an unwritten rule in politics that politicians must not criticize the president when they are overseas. How about adding America’s school kids to the list of untouchables?

Speaking at a high school in Australia, President Obama told a group of Aussie students that their counterparts in his country had “fallen behind” when it comes to math and science, saying he wants to reform the public school system.

Obama also asserted that poor children don’t get “support they need when they’re very young’’ and are “already behind’’’ when they enter grammar school, according to a press pool report.

Obama might have thought twice before casting America’s public school kids in a negative light to foreign students. Especially since he can exclude his own children from the system by paying for them to attend private school.

One might feel uncomfortable saying many types of unpleasant things about our country to people overseas. But then, one would have to be an American exceptionalist.

  1. Judging by Koffler's reading comprehension skills, apparently he is among those who has "fallen behind."

Obama was not criticizing American kids; he was pointing out the fact that under our current system those kids now trail numerous other countries in basic skills. Would anyone really disagree with that?

  2. He hates Americans and we hate him. What goes around
comes around. Has he ever complimented this country?
Why is he still in office. Forgot, he hasn't been in his office
since election. He and the family have traveled the world
on our money. God will be the judge in the long run.

  3. Does this fool have an open ticket for nonstop "vacations" around the world on the taxpayer dollar? Isn't it about time for Congress to "ground" him? If they're unwilling to impeach him and throw him out on his a$$, the least they could do is shred his travel ticket. Everywhere he goes, he makes negative comments about the U.S. What a disgusting and embarrassing POS! People all over the world are laughing at his stupidity.

  4. David in MA says:

"President Obama told a group of Aussie students that their counterparts in his country had “fallen behind”"
He was talking about Kenya, right?

  5. Yes our children are behind the rest of the world. Why? Because the Department of Education has to much say on what is taught and is wasting most of the money right in that department with 100.000 plus salaries. Reduce the size of that department and send the money straight to the schools and then we shall see results. Most of all go back to the basic reading, writing and arithmetic. Not all the political brain washing that is taught at all levels up to and including Colleges. The left say they don't have enough money to teach our children properly, just look at the Department of Educations budget the last 20 years and where all the increased spending was. Case closed.

Barry lied and just wants us to give more money to Washington to increase the size of government.
