I encountered one today, a Black man who defended the victim disarmament line about how a magazine-fed AR-15 rifle loading .223 Remington was more dangerous than a bolt-action or semiautomatic longarm chambering .30-06 or .308 Windhester because you could get hit with more rounds from an AR-15 with its large box magazine than you could if you were getting shot at by someone using a regular bolt action “deer rifle.”
He claimed a history of 20 years in the Army as an infantryman, including service during the transition from the M-1 Garand to the M-14 to the M-16 at the time that battalions of the 2nd Infantry Division were being detached to the 11th Airmobile (Test) Division under the Howze Board and were eventually re-flagged as the 1st Cavalry Division for service in Southeast Asia, but he didn’t seem to know the difference between .30-06 (the M-1 Garand) and NATO 7.62mm (feeding the M-14, and pretty much the same as .308 Winchester), or how the selective-fire M-16 differs from the utterly semiautomatic AR-15 models.
And he also didn’t know that 11B was the designation for the military occupational specialty (MOS) of an Army infantryman, so I kinda gotta wonder to what extent he was blowing it out his barracks bag….
Anyhow, I started to mention how the photo of “that asshole Obama” shooting what appeared to be a blank round from that ported “recreational” shotgun (regular propellant driving shot doesn’t produce that much smoke) proved what a freakin’ fake he is, and the guy got up all indignant and said “You have to go home now!” and stalked out of the room.

Maybe not that much Arabic in him, but the Luo Peoples of eastern Africa do have a considerable mix due to colonization of those coastal areas by Arab traders and raiders over the past thousand years or so. This is why the dominant monotheism in the area has long been Islam, whereas in western Africa (whence all of America’s black population is derived) it’s been primarily Christian. The Muslim intrusion making for hell on Earth in places like Nigeria is a fairly recent pestilence.
Barack Hussein Obama II (or whatever in hell his legal name really is) is ethnically related to American blacks to about the same extent a Sicilian is related to a Lapplander.
His claim of being “African” is about the same as me claiming to be “European,” especially given that he spent his childhood – up until he was mailed to the Dunham grandparents at age 10 without so much as stopping at the I.N.S. counter on arrival in Honolulu – in a suburb of Jakarta as “a good Muslim schoolboy.”
Heck, if he wanted to deliver the State of the Union speech in the language he actually uses to think, he’d have given it in Indonesian.
I won’t disagree with any “percentage” because many genealogists don’t agree on that. You’re right, the important point is that he has made the blatantly outrageous claim to be a son of black Africa.
