President Obama and Mitt Romney tangled in the opening moments of their second debate on the economy, taxes and energy – as the president tried to make up for lost ground in the wake of his opening debate performance.
The president was decidedly more aggressive Tuesday as the debate at Hofstra University in New York got under way.
He mocked Romney’s five-point economic plan and referenced Romney’s tenure at private equity firm Bain Capital.
“Governor Romney says he’s got a five-point plan. Governor Romney doesn’t have a five-point plan. He has a one-point plan. And that plan is to make sure that folks at the top play by a different set of rules,” Obama said. “That’s been his philosophy in the private sector. That’s been his philosophy as a governor. And that’s been his philosophy as a presidential candidate.”
Romney called Obama’s assessment “way off the mark.”

Mitt Romney still managed to lay out his positive plans for Presidency in a very informative, PRESIDENTIAL manner. He is clearly the leader we need to get jobs going…He understands and has much experience in business and balancing budgets..obama has done very little in job creation except to try to increase BIG government…Mitt knows that ‘jump-starting’ small and large businesses is the answer. I agree we must make it attractive to start businesses in America and keep the jobs HERE. Obama did try a little harder to strike back…but had very little plausible ammo to use to defend his policies. He really was on great DEFENSE mode…anger at times, also. His failed record rang loudly again tonight… I trust Mitt to do a much better job than o.. Also, everyone knows that o lied about what he REALLY meant on that Sun. comment on the Libya travesty and tragedy. He, Clinton and Rice alluded to the anti-Muslim ‘movie trailor’ on u-tube several times as the cause of our precious Americans being massacred and degraded…o alluded 6 times at the United Nations meeting in reference to the ‘movie trailor’ being the cause of the attack….Come on people…a lie is a lie..no other way around it. How can the president so blatantly lie to and mislead the American public concerning our national security? We know what he said and meant in that first commentary in the Rose Garden. This thing happened on anniversary of 9-11…coincidence??..come on.. Go Romney/Ryan 2012!.. We need real honest hard-working leadership in America!..the sooner the better.

I keep hearing it was a draw. A DRAW??? how is it a draw when most of the time Romney had to correct Obummers lies and lies about Romney!!! thats all this looser has……. Blame the other guy, accuse the other guy about things that are NOt true and on and on. That’s pretty much how it went. Crowley to me was there to help OBummer since the looser needs all the help he can get. She tried to NOT make it obvious but I saw it. AND her job wasn’t to interject or ask a question!!! WTH was that! Its pretty pathetic when a SO CALLED man has to rely on someone else lately women (Crowley & Hillary) to help him. Good Lord how Pathetic! I also think that those who were so called “Undecided” are still Undecided well they are lost souls. AND if the Undecided’s have decided that OBummer would be good for America for another 4 yrs , then those people are just as pathetic as he is. When the lady asked Romney about the difference between him and Bush I thought “You STUPID Lady!!” We are still on Bush after 4 yrs of OBummer?????? The Hannity show on fox had the Frank Luntz focus group on in Nevada and most all of them are now going to vote for Romney.
Was really worth watching the show.
This is just my opinion, but I think the next time they have a townhall debate with ordinary people asking the questions, the moderater should not ever see the questions and just the ordinary people have them and then let each canidate call on one of them and listen to their questions and each canidate answer.
The people should be a random choice to be in the debate by a lottery.That way it would feel like it was not staged.
The moderater should just keep the time.

It would have been very beneficial if Romney could have asked the Imam why the Muslim Brotherhood (a terrorist organization) had visited the W.H. repeatedly over the past year while simultaneously telling the American People they were just a small group in Libya and would have no effect on the elections there, yet now they RUN that country. Anyone else suspicious? And why did the Imam proclaim to the world AT THE UNITED NATIONS that the attack in Benghazi stemmed from a video?
