President Barack Obama proudly embraced his auto industry bailout Tuesday, telling a labor audience that assertions by his Republican critics that union members profited from taxpayer-paid rescue are a “load of you know what.”
Obama delivered a politically sizzling and staunchly pro-union speech to the United Auto Workers just as voters in Michigan, a center of auto manufacturing, went to the polls to cast their ballots in the state’s Republican nominating contest.
In a campaign style setting, union president Bob King introduced Obama as “the champion of all workers” who “saved our jobs and saved our industry,” eliciting chants of “Four more years!”

stevor, I like your “Liar-in-chief” name to refer to Obama; the worse president ever. I never thought anyone could be worse than Jimmy (peanut) Carter, but Obama has succeeded in doing this. If only we had a neutral media, he would not get away with his lies and “doing” what he accuses the Republicans of doing. Everyone must vote him and his Democrat Senate out of office in November. We need to regain control of our country before it finishes Obama’s goal of turning us into a socialist/Islamic regime. Truthly,
I hit the wrong button, but was going to say, Truthfully, the Obama regime can not accomplish much that is good for our country when all they do is campaign. To accomplish their goal of “class warfare” and “redistribution of wealth,” they have the left-wing media doing most of their work. People like, Chris Matthews, Jay Leno, David Letterman, Matt Lauer, Wolf Blitzer, and all anchors of the major networks (ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN) are nothing but left-wing Democrats and will slant the news to the liberal Democrat view. Sad, but true. We need more networks, similar to FOX, to get the other side’s view out there so one can make an educated decision when voting.
One day a conservative Presidential candidate decided that he needed more exposure in front of the farming community of the country. So, he set out on his journey across America to visit different agricultural communities. As he was traveling down a dirt road in a small town his eyes fell upon a farmer working out in his field. He decided that this was as good a place as any to start his campaigning, and so he parked his car and went over to meet the farmer. He introduced himself, and asked it he could present his campaign speech to the farmer.
“Sure,” said the farmer. “Would it be alright if I invited my wife and some of our friends from town to listen as well?”“Absolutely”, replied the politician, who by now was excited at the possibility of speaking to a crowd of people.“Is there a place from which I may address the people?” he asked.“Well we don’t have a podium as such, seeing as this here is farm land, but I suppose you could use that manure pile over there,” the farmer replied. The politician thought that this was somewhat un-orthodox, but not wanting to offend the farmer he agreed.
Later that evening a crowd of townfolk were gathered to hear what the politician had to say. They listened intently, and when it was finished they clapped and cheered.Having completed his speech he thanked the people and went over to the farmer and asked, “What part of the speech do you think the people liked the best?”
“I dunno,” said the farmer. “These people don’t pay much attention to politics, but this is the first time we have ever heard a Republican speech from a Democratic Platform.” — Ronald Reagan
Mr. O, the only “load of you know what” is your Democratic Platform.
What many folks don’t seem to remember is that while the unions gained a financial interest, as well as the government, in GM(aka Government Motors) bond holders and stockholders were left holding an empty bag. Many long time dealers lost their dealerships with decisions based on political reasons rather than economical aspects. The lie has been put out that GM has repaid it’s bail-out which is wrong as the government still has a 26% controlling interest. Meanwhile Chrysler is now part of Fiat. Ford, and all the foreign companies did not participate in the bail-out.
