Following the disturbing release of a video depicting James Foley, a New Hampshire reporter who disappeared during an assignment in Syria, being beheaded by terrorists, many looked to Barack Obama for his comments regarding the disturbing news.
While he did make a statement Wednesday, Obama has earned criticism for what many consider the dismissive act of heading straight to club for yet another round of golf immediately after concluding his address.

The graphic video, purportedly released by members of the terror organization Islamic State (ISIS), depicts 40-year-old Foley clad in orange and wearing a microphone. He then proceeded to recite a statement in which he ostensibly blames the U.S. for his death. “What will happen to me is only a result of their complacency and criminality,” he said of the American military. Foley then criticized the politicians who voted for military action against Islamic terrorists in the region.
“When your colleagues dropped that bomb on those people,” he said, “they signed my death certificate.”
He even called out his own brother, a U.S. Air Force member, for his part in his death. In his final moments of life, Foley renounced his country. His captors then addressed the camera, echoing the apparently forced statement by the Rochester, N.H. native on his knees before them.
“You have plotted against us and gone far out of your way to find reasons to interfere in our affairs,” one militant said.
At the end of the video, after showing a lifeless Foley lying on the ground, an American believed to be journalist Steven Sotloff was filmed along with a warning that he could be the next U.S. citizen murdered at the hands of ISIS terrorists. From his vacation destination in Martha’s Vineyard, Obama spoke out against the violence shown against Foley, assuring America that his vicious killers were not performing any activity sanctioned by Islam.
“No faith teaches people to massacre innocents,” he maintained. “No just God would stand for what they did yesterday and what they do every single day.”
Despite warnings from experts, including former CIA Deputy Director Mike Morell, that this development is a direct threat to America’s safety and should be met with a strong military response, Obama was reportedly not troubled enough to cancel his latest round of golf.
Attention #ISIS, you won’t get Barack Obama’s attention by beheading Americans. If you hide Obama’s golf clubs however, the gloves are off.
