Does anyone else notice the paucity of applause and cheers when Obama speaks publicly now? The crowds aren't being polite; they just aren't listening to him anymore.
I think the "Biblical" quote that Obama was paraphrasing, or reaching for, is that "God helps those who help themselves." The only problem with that is that this quotation appears nowhere in the Bible. Maybe he's confusing it with the Koran; I haven't read that heresy so I wouldn't know for sure. I do know that, according to Bartlett's Familiar Quotations, this particular line is attributed to Sidney Algernon in the 17th century.
The man is desperate. He cancels the National Day of Prayer at the White House because he says it may offends some. Yet holds Ramadan (sp) dinner for his Muslim brothers & sisters. Has stood for all things anti-Christian, pro-Islam. Sat in the pews soaking up the racist rants of Rev. J. Wright for 20 years. Now when the wheels have come off his magic carpet ride he calls on God. It is so obvious when these Godless people attempt to quote scripture.
Obullcrap mocks legislation to confirm the "In God We Trust" embedded into our fibre duing the creation of our nation. Why should we need such legislation? He avoids making note of the fact that it is traitors and non-americans, both legal and like himself, that made that legislation neccessary. They are not here to become part of our nation.
