On August 6, 2011, 30 US service members were killed when a CH-47 Chinook helicopter they were being transported in crashed in Wardak province, Afghanistan. It was the deadliest single loss for U.S. forces in the decade-long war in Afghanistan. 17 members of the elite Navy SEALs were killed in the crash.
Yesterday, Karen and Billy Vaughn, parents of Aaron Carson Vaughn, spoke at the Defending the Defenders forum sponsored by the Tea Party Patriots outside the RNC Convention in Tampa. Karen brought a copy of the form letter they were sent following their son’s death.
It’s a form letter.
It was signed by an electric pen.

Hitlerbama is too busy using his OWN hand to sign documents robbing Americans of their freedoms to bother signing trivial things (trivial to him that is) like letters to the families of fallen heroes!
Granted, I think that EVERY President in recent history has used some form of signature other than their own personal handwritten signature to sign what they consider unimportantdocuments but a REAL American President should take the time to actually physically sign something as important as a letter showing respect for fallen heroes!
When it comes to the Navy Seals and other elite troops it really angers me when the current Liar-In-Chief takes credit for THEIR actions like when OBL was allegedly killed (and his body inexplicable buried at sea… a little bizarre in itself) and Obama told America that HE killed OBL. Well, to use his own words (slightly paraphrased) against him… “Mr. President, YOU DIDN’T DO THAT!”.
This is sad that he does this but he is too busy campaigning and he has campaigned since day two of his term and done nothing but spend taxpayers money. Our military has had most their freedom of speech taken away with the not being able to speak at any religious organizational functions. I appreciate the military taking care of us, but feel that they are needed here as our nation with obama/holder and the Chicago thugs are at risk, and know if we are confused here what our military people are going through….
Why should anyone be surprised by Obama’s disdain for America and her military as exemplified by this? What I would like to know is why 17 Seals were placed together on the easy to pick off Chinook in a war zone instead of being split into three groups in the faster more agile Apaches? Who made this decision? Why did they make this decision? And why haven’t any heads rolled?
Three guesses.
Just a piece of paper w/a phony signature from a phony President. He could care less about our Brave men & women. They are only good for his Photo Ops. Simple as that. Shameful
As disgusting as it was for Obama to send a form letter to those fallen soldiers, was it any less disgusting to have AG Eric H. Holder deem the Fort Hood shooting by Major Nadal Hasan and act of “Work-Place Violence” as he was screaming “Ala Akbar” while unloading his FN 5.7 semi-automatic handgun killing 13 and wounding an additional 30.
As a result of the massacre being deemed “work-place violence” not one family member of the murder’s or wounded victim’s families received a “Purple Heart”. I wonder if AG Eric Holder would have ruled the shooting the same way if one of his children or his wife were caught in the madman’s sights and murder’ed as were so many innocent unsuspecting victims of his? The Administration did not call that incident what it was, which was a radical Muslim extremist act of terror on innocent American’s.
