Suspension of military tuition assistance; Obama’s budget cut retaliation up-close and personal
This week the Air Force joined with the Army and Marines in cutting tuition assistance due to “sweeping” federal budget cuts. When faced with a budget crisis—whether real or imagined like Obama’s sequestration—too many politicians will threaten first responders before they cut their own bloated, nonproductive programs. The Armed forces is one of the few constitutionally mandated functions that exists today. Of course, Obama plans to make budget cuts personal so he and Organizing for America can manufacture sob stories making any opposition to his massive spending programs appear cruel. Big Government will not be denied.
Impact
Education in today’s all-volunteer military is a major factor in considering promotions. An unnamed recruiter stated that “College benefits are the absolute main reason they do it, it’s going to be pretty hard,” he said. “You start wondering what else will be cut.” An education will help the service member find a decent job when he leaves the military. Without higher education many troops will have a difficult time starting out as anything more than a Walmart greeter.
The military education benefit cuts are projected to save $600 million, about what the Obamas spent on their vacations over the last couple of years. The current Commander-in-Chief is not setting a good example. With all of the deployment commitments already borne on the shoulders of this all volunteer force, they are now expected to sacrifice even more so low information voters can have their Obamaphones. The main benefit of tuition assistance is to allow service members to obtain a college degree without incurring debt.
No Leadership
Obama never served in the military and has never been in charge of anything until low information voters and the national media put him in the White House. Needless to say, such a dearth of experience makes for an inept leader. Outside of campaigning what is he good at? Clearly he has no concern for subordinates. The Benghazi fiasco and cover-up make that palpably obvious. One lesson you learn as a front line supervisor…don’t screw or abandon your troops. No Senior Non Commissioned Officer would put up with a junior NCO who behaves the way this President does.

By the way Mlie is spending spring break in Mexico with again with 12 friends, 25 secret service people and 2 jets. Can`t do yours of the White House but they have money to send their daughter to Mexico for spring break. Tax money well spent. NOT.

Hey the government thinks it way more important to spend money on a program to watch a shimp to run on a treadmill then it is on really important things like education for our military.
Our military servicemembers deserve a hell of a lot more than they ever have received or ever will. It is a disgrace to deny them tuition assistance while increasing it for illegal aliens or even legal aliens for that matter. These servicemembers are defending our freedom while our government is seeking to destroy our country from within. Whatever our reason for having troops overseas, right or wrong, these people are doing what they think is right. When they leave the military they deserve those benefits they were promised. Why is an illegal alien ENTITLED TO ANYTHING IN THIS COUNTRY, other than deportation. But no, they are supposedly entitled to free schooling, free medical, food stamps, rental assistance, and free welfare. The only thing i have seen them spend their earnings on consistently is alcohol, a flashy car, and perhaps what they send back to their families in their home country. We taxpayers pay for the rest of it. Is cheap labor worth all the taxpayer supplied benefits, not to mention those taxpayer benefits which go to the displaced legal US citizen?
This could be a huge mistake on his part at this time. He still needs the military and their loyalty and respect. From what I hear, the majority of our military does not trust the President and they don’t respect him. They also don’t respect a majority of our Senators and Representatives either. While visiting Europe during the 2008 campaign, he would not visit wounded troops from the Iraq War because he couldn’t take his own photographers. Instead he played basketball. Talk about a direct slap in the face. They are also well aware that Janet Napolitono, head of Homeland Security, has also stated that she feels our military veterans and retirees are potential terrorists. Not one single politician, the President or the media called her out on that one. Not much of a morale builder. The President still needs their respect and loyalty. His “Do-as-I-say-and-not-as-I-do” brand of leadership is not the way to earn it. A general comment I hear from many of them is that “He couldn’t lead flies to an outhouse.” There are two types of respect. The easiest respect to get is for rank and position. Your people have to give you that. The respect that counts is for your leadership abilities and for you as a person. That respect can’t be demanded. It must be earned. If you don’t have that respect, your people will let you down the minute you need them the most.
Just one word comes to mind everytime I think of obama and the democrats……………………..Impeachment.
Impeachment would not work since the Senate is controlled by Democrats and the Democrats would hold the trial. Also, if Obama were to be impeached, that would tell the world that the American people really believe him to be a legitimate president, instead he needs to be arrested and tried as an impostor and if found guilty punished accordingly.
First of all Gabor Zolna the House of Reps can impeach O and they don’t need Congress to do it. I am searching my records to get the exact name of the type of impeachment that they CAN do without Congress. A U.S. Marshall or a Sheriff can arrest O and that is what I understand. It’s just a matter of time and I hope and pray that there is no “if” he is found guilty, I pray that he “will” be found guilty of a whole laundry list of crimes (including murder of our country’s Bill of Rights, Constitution and our citizens) not only on U.S. soil but internationally as well. He is not and never could be a legally sitting pres by his own words in his book and various youtube video’s that were taken of O speaking in himself when he was running for the senate in Illinois. Never in my lifetime did I ever expect to see, experience or even in my fondest dreams expect to see my Country go through something so evil as to what I am seeing it go through now. We the people that are God fearing, country loving and caring of others who are of like mind know that living in the times that we are is really only temporary. Our final home is Heaven and it’s what we do now where we are that is positive that can make a difference as far as what is going on with our evil government that will make a difference. Pray for our country, pray for our military to respect their oaths to protect our country, the Constitution and do no harm to it’s own citizens, pray for people in D.C. that still have the power to remove the evil that is there to it’s core as well as all of the evil extensions and appendages that have come into being in all of the agencies of our govt and NOW. This is all happening for a reason that we do not understand now but, could it be looked at as a cleansing of our country? Could it be that our country is under judgement because we have lost our way with immorality, family values, and God? Time will tell. Keep up the fight, stand strong and in time and soon, we will all have to become David’s that believe and know the difference between right and wrong. I am sure my opinions and feelings expressed here will not sit well with many but I felt compelled to share them anyway. God bless.
