President Barack Obama, beset by substantial public doubts about his religion and right-wing suspicions that he is Muslim, took a few steps on Sunday to dispel those image problems: He and his family crossed Lafayette Park to St. John’s Episcopal Church, just the third time he has worshipped in public since he became president last year.
The president, first lady Michelle Obama and their daughters joined about 40 other worshippers, according to pool reports, and heard a sermon on a passage from the Gospel of Luke that ends, “You cannot serve God and wealth.” They also took Communion as a family.
Afterward, the Obamas strolled back to the White House across Lafayette Square, which was closed to the public.
Since arriving in Washington as president, Obama — who was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago — has largely chosen not to attend public church services because of the possible disruptions his presence, and the increased security, would cause a congregation. Obama has said he relies on his Christian faith to perform his duties as chief executive, and White House officials said the president relies on a close circle of spiritual advisers.
Last month, a poll indicated a majority of the public had doubts about Obama’s religious beliefs, even though his Christian faith was a key part of his pitch as a presidential candidate. Although he said he regularly reads the Bible and prays, the president has maintained he doesn’t want to ostentatiously fake a devotion to organized religion that he’s never had before, and he is more often seen going to the golf course or the gym on Sunday mornings.

WHAT!? President Obama sleepwalked his way through twenty years of Jeremiah Wright's anti-American rants before becomeing president, and is only NOW resuming "going to church"? I'm surprised that he doesn't demand the immediate construction of a mosque in the White House so that he can bow down five times daily to Mecca!
This is nothing but a CYA political act to try and change people's perceptons. I don't trust this man and while I am no one to question his faith, one trip to church does not make him a Christian.
This is just for show and the American people should realize this. As I have said before he is as much Christian as is satan. He is a muslim communist and an American hater and so is the ugly varmint he lives with.

The only thing transparent about Obama, is his sudden display of church attendance. After the word was out that the public viewed hm as a Muslim, he decided to fool everyone by a trip to church.,. We weren't born yesterday, and are not fooled by the duplicity and dishonesty from him, it oozes from every pore. I'm sorry to feel this way however, he has shown us time and again, that he is out to push his own agenda, and that of George Soros.. We have to vote all his Senate and House patsies out in November, before they do anymore damage to our country and to our Constitution.
With them all going to church and allowing the picture to present them as Christian is the same as me standing in my garage and looking like a Ferrari!!

Barry was browsing through the Koran. He was reminded that he must obey its command to get his butt out there and deceive some more infidels! So, he packed up his Muslim clan, enjoyed the inalienable rights endowed by our Creator .. and endured a Christian service. How special!

One does not have to attend church to be a good person.. Leave Obama alone. His religious practices are no one's business but this own. Going to church is not a prerequisite for being President. And I don't see it written anywhere that a president MUST attend church or even have a religion.

Mammon is the hoarding of wealth, i. e. money for money's sake. Without 'wealth' more of the world would be starving than already is. Everything about the moron-in-chief is cheesey, apparently even the sermons he chooses to listen to.
