A gruesome beating is the apparent result of Mr. Alexander Landau’s lawful refusal not to allow Denver, Colorado police to search the trunk of his vehicle four years ago.
The trio involved alleged he tried to grab one of their service weapons. A botched cover up ensued (a sure sign of wrongdoing), and a jury awarded Mr. Landau nearly a million dollars.
They won’t lose their jobs for this outrage; but one has since been fired, and another was reinstated after termination for alleged lying in another brutality case.
These scenarios usually end with a drug dog being summoned and walked around the vehicle. If he doesn’t smell any contraband, the driver is allowed to leave.
Compounding this travesty is the fact that the Obama Justice Department refused to prosecute the officers for civil rights violations.
I guess he’s not a “Black Face in a High Place” (like the president’s prized progressive professor Henry Louis Gates) and doesn’t merit attention.
The city of Denver should terminate these officers and file state charges against them. Here’s a cause tailor-made for liberal civil rights activists and conservative civil liberties advocates to unite around.
A citizen, specifically a Black male, was beaten within an inch of his life for following the law regarding a warrantless search of his personal property.
Add to it a liberal DOJ washing its hands of a gross miscarriage of justice with potential racial overtones, and I’d hope the streets will be packed.
I support good cops, but very little good has emerged from what these officers did to this young man. Cases like this heighten tension between cops and urban males, not to mention sour liberty lovers of all colors.
But, in this strange era of tribal loyalty to a disinterested chief executive of color, “little” Black people are routinely sacrificed to save face- especially in 2009, when reducing possible reelection blowback was top priority.
Just a reminder that America’s first pharaoh has feet of clay on issues his tribe foolishly feels he champions.
Not in this case.
And many more like it.

Why do we have to see this less than honorable AG face on the media. He is guilty as is Obama of gun trafficking that killed American citizen’s and hundred if not thousands of Mexican citizen’s. He will do nothing to protect a white person but will bend over backwards to protect a black person. Hopefully they will all one day end up in Federal prison.

Holder protects all the criminals on wall street, the usurper in the white house, the EPA, etc. I’d prefer it if he were just plain useless, but he goes beyond as a constant source of counter-intention to America’s survival. My label for the Attorney General is “Eric ‘cutthroat’ Holder(man).” He IS the # 2 murderer in America — the millions upon millions of innocent unborn Americans, America’s future; the victims of the gun-running to Mexico and victims of the guns to Middle East terrorists. Denver law enforcement is famous for this type of behavior. My son-in-law is living proof. A highly decorated soldier with hearing damage, PTSD, etc., he was asked to leave a flight because he made the attendant “uncomfortable”. Despite testimony from those surrounding him, the police were called to remove him. When he turned to get his bag like they told him to, one of officers jumped him from behind and split his head open with a baton spraying the plane & passengers with blood. After throwing him into combat mode, which led to him throwing both policemen down the stairs to the tarmac, he was arrested and eventually charged. It turns out that this is common behavior and prompted the creation of a special task force just to investigate allegations of brutality by Denver law enforcement. One of their victims was the son of another officer from a neighboring county. Luckily his beating was caught on camera and the officers were removed from duty. How sad is that? The VICTIMS are guilty until they can prove the officers are guilty. And people say the 2nd Amendment is no longer needed. I STRONGLY disagree!!
The trite expression that Conservatives especially seem to feel obligatory when commenting on police brutality, which is so common now that no one pays attention until a copthug assaults or murders someone close to them, that they support good police is like the ubiquitous disclaimer that moderate muslims are peaceful and loving though almost no stinking mus ever express disapproval of their murderous numbers killing and maiming innocent people. This cowardly lack of disdain for the brutality of almost all police everywhere does nothing to decrease the malevolence of copthugs.
