Barack Obama’s war on America’s seniors knows no limits. The Treasury Department is withholding part of the Social Security monthly payments of about 115,000 seniors because they have fallen behind on student loan payments. There was a time when Social Security benefit payments were untouchable, but that is a thing of the past.
Obama’s War on Seniors is growing at such a rate that the number of affected seniors has almost doubled in just the last year. These size of the payments being withheld are not insignificant. Depending on the circumstances, some run up to as high as 15%. With the average retiree’s benefit payment at about $1,234, the monthly bite could be nearly $190.00. What’s worse is that many seniors don’t realize that they are still liable for their student loan payments, even though they have been pushed out of the working mainstream by Barack Obama’s fiscal policies.
Thanks to younger relatives, often grandchilderen, who are out of work and unable to repay these loans (for the same reasons their elders are either retired or working as Walmart greeters), people who never set foot in a college classroom are having to suffer these reductions in their small Social Security benefits.
A New Jersey attorney reports that he has represented six clients in the last two years who have fallen into this repayment trap because they co-signed a student loan application for a grandchild. Still, others have gotten into trouble because, in an attempt to improve a personal resume, they took out a student loan for Graduate school degrees that ultimately came to naught.
Most seniors in this trap are embarrassed to speak about their predicament, but one Boston attorney tells of working with an 83 year old veteran who co-signed to cover the tuition of his son in the 1990s, only to find that because both of them have fallen behind on the required payments, he is now obligated to make payments on the loan. HE is now seeing the federal government forcibly taking some of his monthly Social Security check.
Paying what we owe is an import feature of the American character, and certainly, it is a cherished part of the personal sense of being for older Americans. Barack Obama’s failures are driving more and more seniors to buy their dignity back each month at a high price. This is Barack Obama’s war on seniors.

Of course Obozo is waging war on seniors. His deadly Obamacare law is designed to kill more unborn Americans, America’s future, SENIORS, handicapped and sick population. He and Kathleen Killbelius, the head of the Dept. of Health and Human Services, are solving our economic problems by killing. Of couse, they’re gonna steal from us. The government has been doing that for decades. What’s new? Why did the Social Security Admin. buy a bunch of rounds of ammunition?
This picture is sickening and so typical of him. You know, by the time we retire (a few year away) if the bummercare doesn’t get tossed, we might as well just dig our own graves. The death panels will make sure that we don’t get any care medically. I hate this man and his government!!!!! I hate his wife more as she is a bigot. If by chance he gets back in then this country deserves everything it gets. People are so damn snowballed by him it’s utterly ridiculous. I echo your sentiments….we have had presidents that I didn’t approve of, but we have NEVER, in my lifetime, had someone in the White House that I ABSOLUTELY DETEST! He and his wife have disgraced our country with their actions and words…they are as unAmerican as anyone I have ever known.

Did anyone ever wonder why seniors up to 72 are being offered student loans. The ads are all over the net. What is somone in their 80′s or over, if they live to get the degree, going to do with it. Something just doesn’t seem right here.
Isn’t our Social Security the money WE earned while working??? If it were in a bank, and someone came in and took it, wouldn’t that be “theft”, and punishable by law?? Who paid for Obama’s schooling?? Ooops! Someone else did that, didn’t they?

Why is it seniors can get their SS checks stolen by the mighty one, but he cannot do anything to try and get some of the vast sums all his employees owe in back taxes. Amazing isn’t it. Just as I am sure, all the spending him and moochelle do of their money, how much of that is actually treasury dollars. Never in the history of America has there been such total dishonesty emulating from the White house.
“Emulating” is mimicking (doing the same as). The word you meant to use is “emanating” which means coming out of, as light emanating from a lamp.

I am a vet who fought for the ideology and concepts our country was built on, and within signing and holding my arm up my oath was to protect the United State from both foreign and domestic enemies. it seems to me any one who would open the door and flood the country with a well known terrorist group (50,000 hamas) as well as others terrorist associations is asking for the fulfilment of the oath that has been sworn. Maybe that is why we are being flooded with “devout Muslims” becauser they do not recognize the Constitution as a base of law, they recognize “their religeon” as the base of their law and political structure. I personally have no problem removing the issue on either soil and if it is on my soil it will be done with extreme prejudice they show how barbaric they can be to cause fear and intimidation to a population of people, I sometimes have to wonder how much a large male Boar or a nursing female pig can eat at one sitting? this is my country as much as it is for anyone who has fought and died for it. as well to protect our family from this subtle forieghn invasion. we just need a lot of hungry pigs.
