HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (OfficialWire) — President Barack Obama is calling for reintroducing legislation to ban assault weapons.
In discussing the issue at the presidential debate Tuesday night, Obama said weapons that were designed for soldiers at war don’t belong on the street.
After the mass shooting in Colorado last summer, Obama aides said that the president supports the ban that expired in 2004. But Obama had not called for reinstating it until the debate.

The only answer to ending the rampant, bloody uses of the Anti’s cries of “AK rifles and Assault-type weapons” is to swiftly and summarily punish those that commit wanton, heinous crime and menical lunatics similar to the movie house slaughter. TERMINATE their existance…postehaste with the normal excuse making rhetoric that “something is wrong or caused them toact in such manners.
Pretty simple, cull them in permanent fashion from the ranks of any population and you’ll solve the misuse issue almost overnight.

Gee we can’t get real military arms designed for the modern military now. You can get some antiques designed from back in the 50s though. For example, I can’t buy a M-16 except through a special government permit that costs around 500 dollars. And then I must agree to let my home be inspected by the ATF at any time. But in fairness I think Obama is referring to banning the antique military firearms like the SKS and M1 Garand.
Now I am going to show what the military really has for firearms and the public can’t get this at any price! This firearm is the most dangerous firearm I have ever seen. It is so dangerous that even the military should NOT be allowed to have it! It is that dangerous. (Yes, I am a small arms expert and marksman.)
Of all the firearms ever made, the most dangerous and lethal firearms ever made for use under 100 yds is the shotgun. Not any pistol or rifle as the liberals and many neo conservatives will tell you. In every war the US has been, the enemy has ALWAYS complained about the US use of shotguns. The Germans, the Japanese, Koreans, Vietnamese, even the Muslims, they all have complained about the use of shotguns.

The AR-15, which is the weapon Obama and all his cronies refer to in their zeal was NOT designed as a military weapon. It was designed primarily as a varmit rifle for ranchers, etc. The Military got into the game a few years later. Obama just needs to keep his grabby, grubby hands to himself.
I find it necessary to remind the previous writer, Mike 36000, that the purpose of weapons of war is, (with few exceptions) to kill the enemy. Your educational comment has no value.
I didn’t appreciate Obama’s mention of handguns as he said cheap handguns, what is his definition of cheap?
I’m not going to vote for anyone that wishes to tamper with our Bill of Rights, be it the 2nd Amendment , 1st Amendment or 4th Amendment. Secondly, the AK-47 types we can buy in the USA are not the same as the ones used for the Military. Obama just wishes to disarm Americans, it’s the first step to Fascism.Criminals will always be able to get guns. It happens in European gun free states all the time. New laws only affect the law abiding and that isn’t the problem. As Romney stated, we have enough gun laws as it is. We already tried the assault weapons ban and it did no good at all. There is no reason to go backwards. I though the famous mantra of our Glorious Leader Obama was Forward. It must really be Reverse, or maybe Stop as in collapse like Greece. We’re coming closer every day and Obama isn’t capable of stopping that even.

The PURPOSE of war is to WOUND and MAIM your enemy!

The AR15 was a direct effort resulting from the AR10 which was a military weapon designed using the 7.62 NATO round, which civilians know as the .308 Winchester. It was to replace the M-14, which it failed to do.
One main reason was the bullet size. From this effort the AR15 resulted in about 1957 using the 5.56 NATO round which civilians know as the .223 Remington. The original order was from the Air Force which eventually expanded to the other branches of service. There is absolutely NOTHING concerning the civilian usage of these firearms until Colt, who bought the copyrights to the firearms from Fairchild Ind, sold the the idea of a unified rifle for all branches of the US Military. The US Military then designated the rifle as the M-16 and that is when Colt desiginated the civilian version of the rifle and kept the AR-15 name.
This is an EXTREMELY short over-view and in very general terms, but accurate.
I can take these things apart and put them back together blindfolded; can you? I doubt it.

Regardless to any debate over the M-16/AR-15, the shotgun is still far and away the most dangerous weapon. If you only have one choice for a firearm, it should be a shotgun. In nam the squads always argued over who got the shotgun, usually a Winchester Model 12 or a Remington 870, both pump actions. Many a time troopers would cut cards, match coins or bet for who got to carry the shotgun….

B.O. is the greatest gun salesman ever! He has done wonders for the value of firearms! I wonder how much a semi automatic rifle that looks like an AK will sell for? I wonder how much the drum magazines for them will sell for? The prices of handguns will necessarily skyrocket! I can’t stand B.O.’s politics, but, he is gun stores best friend whether or not he wants to admit it or not. At least for the time being.
