During the President George W. Bush Administration he announced US Policy to be Energy Independent. Many projects, private and public, were initiated.
A standout was conversion of Coal to Synthetic Fuels. It was designed, developed and demonstrated along with EPA registrations for Synthetic Diesel, Synthetic Commercial and Synthetic Military fuels. Ready to go forward with a Demonstration of Synthetic Military fuels by about 2011 in all US Military Aircraft.
Result: Obama January 2009 because President. You guess the rest.
Someone paid for a Rand Study that claimed the Process used (Fischer-Tropsch developed in the 1920s for the Third Reich because Nazis had no access to Crude Oil for their WWII machines) would create 2-times the CO2 that normal Crude Oil to Gasoline or Diesel creates.
They overlooked the fact that emissions from the fuels derived from Coal were Non-Toxic, and the fuel itself was Non-Toxic. So all new Diesels (and OLD) have to have Particulant filters installed to capture “Toxic Particulants” from Diesel fuels derived from Crude Oil!
Kind of Nuts when you take a deep look at the technology of Sequestering and Containing all the CO2 created in the Process.
Oh, then of course the best part as California already has reached $5.59/gallon for Gasoline today; and Diesel fuel now matches Gasoline fuel.

I found over the years the RAND studies fluctuate on their conclusions like bending with the “political winds”.
FACT: The coal to fuel method was demonstrated long ago.
FACT: Synthetic Gasoline can be produced, and Exxon bought Mobil because of the over 2,700 patents owned by Mobil. Thus Exxon-Mobil is the only source for Synthetic Gasoline unless they license out its use.
FACT: The United States has the largest Coal reserves in the World in Montana and Wyoming.
BUT: The People need a responsible President in the White House to make the key decisions to make the United States Energy Independent by use of “our own resources, instead of Foreign sources that are bleeding our own pocket books, banks and credit plus penalizing our own US Treasury and all States for this Lack Luster Incompetence of Obama”.
CAN: The US Senate, politics aside, can and do DEBATE the key issues of Our Country. But Democrats are influenced at times by Environmental Extremists. FACT is the President Obama has been using Discretionary Spending on specific States where their Senators may not vote for something he wants.
DISGRACEFUL: The State of Georgia’s Secretary of State agreed with an Administrative Judge on permitting Obama’s name to be on Ballots. The Judge made a big mistake by referencing another Case from Indiana by claiming Obama born in Hawaii, thus Native Born, thus eligible to be President by equivalencing native born with natural born citizens.
The Constitution specifically in Article II, Section 1, Clause 5 stipulates that only a “natural born citizen” can hold the Office of President with age and residency requirements. There is no equivalence to “native born citizen” unless the citizen is a “natural born citizen”.

This is the Minor v. Happersett case Argued: February 9, 1875 — Decided: March 29, 1875.
In it the Chief Justice delivered the opinion of the Court, and essentially defined what the Framers of the Constitution meant from Common-Law at that time, as being a citizen born to American Citizen parents and thus native born, but more importantly natural born citizens someday eligible to be President.
Over the past 40 years I have found proposals to Amend the Constitution from Democrats and Republicans in both House of Representatives and Senate. None have come out of the Judiciary Committees. But all were to make eligible to be President those “native born citizens” that were not necessarily “natural born citizens”. The differences were on residency requirements between 11 years to 20 years with age still 35 years.
If for 40 years the Congress knew only “natural born citizens” can be President, what made Obama President.
CONSPIRACY by Democrats in Congress, and FOOLS that VOTE.
While I agree with Newt Gingrich’s comment about the “algae as fuel” idea, I have to say honestly that when I heard Gingrich’s comment about colonizing the moon, I had that same “Saturday Night Live” flash-back. I guarantee, if Newt starts making too much fun of Obama’s “algae as fuel” idea, Obama and his sychophants are going to start re-playing the “moon colony” idea as retaliation.
While “brainstorming” may be a good group method for coming up with “outside the box” ideas, I hardly think they should be used by politicians in political speeches where the voters want to hear some sound ideas as to how we are going to improve the myriad problems we as a nation are facing right now.
we already went to the moon so why people are making his comment a joke is really shallow. But the problem with obamas ideas is he wants to end everything we are using before we start his ideas and see if they even work. Which is what puts us at risk. That is a big deal.
