Conservatives have long joked that the national press corps see Barack Obama as the second coming of Jesus Christ. Today, Newsweek – at least what’s left of it, an online product for tablets and e-readers – made it official.
Next to a side shot of Obama’s head, the “Inauguration 2013” cover story pronounces: “The Second Coming.”
It’s an article by long-time Newsweek veteran Evan Thomas, who left the magazine after Tina Brown took over from the Washington Post Company and folded the debt-ridden publication into her Daily Beast site.
The January 18, 2013-dated online magazine, was posted Friday and I learned about it via an e-mail sent tonight (Friday) to those who were subscribers to the printed magazine.
Linking God and Obama isn’t new for Thomas, once an Assistant Managing Editor and Washington Bureau Chief for the former weekly.

Jan. 21, 2013 will be a very sad day for me. Because we have the Chief Justice, John Roberts, who will swear in a man who has not been vetted, has not had a background check, ineligibile, unqualified, illegal, phony, lying, racist, bigot, half breed, bi-sexual, foreign national, Muslim who violated the war powers act, immigration law, refused to enforce existing law, used the EPA to usurp power over Congress, decided HE and not the Supreme Court would decide on the Constitutionality of existing law, abused the recess appointment process, set up a shadow cabinet of unvetted czars, declared over 900 executive orders, some that have set up a framework for a dictatorship, and has publicly flaunted his power in declaring he will continue to go around Congress as he sees fit, sending planes and tanks to Israel’s enemies, dislikes Jews and Christians and is against everything we stand for. I do not understand how Chief Justice John Roberts can allow this unless his loved ones have been threatened. I have a feeling Obama will be sworn in in private so he can put his hand on the Quran. Cheif Justice John Roberts is ignoring OUR Constitution which he swore to uphold!
That is what 90% people are believing and we know obama is muslim and it is ok to lie to farther the cause of the muslim cause to control every nation on the earth, plus Whites and Christain will be put to death by this deranged group of beings, so we need to stop this now, so l am hoping someone will start the papers to impeach the whole bunch of these derange goverment people.
I agree with what you say, however, you have left a few things out. The latte one hates women. This deep seated hatred is because of his promiscuous white mother’s leanings towards black men. Yeah, Newsweek mocks God big time by comparing Barack aka: satan Obama to God. To say that his second inauguration is like the “Second Coming” is like saying he’s God. He’s, in reality, the complete opposite of God — AntiChrist.

I was born in one country, raised in another.

I was not his only child. He fathered several children with numerous women.

TRUE. I know his father in law said of Lincoln “Hes the greatest scoundrel yet unhung” Lincoln hand picked George Armstrong Custer to slaughter the Sioux indians due to his viscious nature. Lincoln was not the great man so many think he was.

Very true, there is something very wrong with this country when people try and compare Obama to God. But also know, people done the same thing with Lincoln. There are paintings of Lincoln with him having wings ascending into heaven with the angles, not to mention the writings comparing Lincoln to Christ Himself. People don’t even know Lincoln wasn’t even a Christian! He NEVER professed it.
Just as bad, from a personal experience I noted. Several years ago when George Bush II was in office, I ran across this woman in a forum who had a picture of herself kneeling before a large portrait of Bush. She had her hand clasp in prayer prying to his picture, kneeling. Below the picture she had wrote her words of prayer to George Bush, thanking him for saving the country and leading us to righteousness. I forget exactly how it read. This wasn’t some 18 or 20 some year old girl either. This was a woman who appeared to be over 30. How very sad indeed. This is what blind allegiance in politics gets us.
