New York Democratic Rep. Jose Serrano reintroduced a bill in Congress on Friday to repeal the 22nd Amendment, which places term limits on the U.S. presidency.
The bill, which has been referred to committee, would allow President Barack Obama to become the first president since Franklin Roosevelt to seek a third term in office.
H.J. Res. 15 proposes “an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to repeal the twenty-second article of amendment, thereby removing the limitation on the number of terms an individual may serve as President.”
The bill is a reintroduction of H.J. Res. 17, which Serrano introduced in Congress in January 2011. It was referred to the House judiciary committee, but did not make it to a floor vote.
Repealing the 22nd Amendment has been a longtime goal of Serrano’s, regardless of the sitting president’s political party. Serrano proposed similar resolutions in 1997 and 1999, during Bill Clinton’s administration, and in 2001, 2003, 2005, and 2007, during George W. Bush’s administration. He proposed the repeal again in 2009 after Obama took office.

He’s just trying to incite people. Serrano knows there is no way he can get 2/3 of the states to pass this Amendment. It’s not legally possible! However the 16th Amendment didn’t have 2/3 of the states supporting it either and it passed. So maybe they are gonna try and pull another fast one.

The 16th is the “Income Tax” Amendment.
It is illegal and was ratified illegally.
Read the book, “The Law that Never Was”, by Bill Benson.

Hi there,
It’s ok, it’s good to ask for clarification when in doubt. I understand that. As for the brick wall, you need to nunua a little to know he wasn’t directing anything to you specifically. He was right, after what he and I has been through here, it seems we are spinning in place trying to educate people or even trying to state simple things. It’s not you in what you wrote, but rather it is the denial of so many people here, and these people consider themselves various types of conservatives. People has shut their minds off to anything other than their preconceived notions they have been propagandized with through public education. Public education today is nothing other the government PC line as it is being dictated through the public educational system in being taught to the masses. It’s just another form of dumbing down the public in order the government can exert more easily influence upon society.
As for your mention concerning the 22nd A and my mentioning of it. I was simply using the 16th A as an example of how the government could nullify or change the 22nd A whenever they wanted too. Also meaning they no longer use or need any US Constitutional authority in their decision making, BUT they do use the US Constitution as a cover and under the color of US Constitutional Law in order to justify their illegal actions against the people of the united States. Does that help clarify things any better?

That’s right, by law you have to file you income tax, but do not have to pay it…..Redd Foxx filed every year and did not pay because he believed like most, the he did not have to….and the took away everything he owned for back taxes….soooooo don’t trust any of the ah in goverment.

I don’t guess the Indians had any choice but to trust the government. It’s like our problem today choosing between the lesser of two evil political parties. This Indians were forced to choose between the lesser of two evils. Trust the government, or, be exterminated! Which would you choose between the two, if you were as out gunned and out-manned?

oh an easy way to remember which amendment limits Presidents to 2 terms is 2 terms, 22nd amendment. All those nifty 2s
UNLESS>>>>> All the reasons they can freeze government or do a third term. There is no real laws restraining gov. from doing anything they want. Because they have laws and a DOJ that will write a new law in about an hour and a half.
but can they legally (tongue in cheek) amend the Constitution all by themselves? I know, Obama thinks he can but maybe it would wake some of these sheep up if he tried.

Of course they can amend the Constitution all they want and get away with it! Who is gonna stop them? The Congress? NO, because they are part of the problem. They side with Obama, even many Republicans, though you don’t publicly see it much. Look at “Boner” and ObamaCare. Boner could have stopped it all by himself; but did he? What about all the attention on Obama being a foreign citizen? Can’t congress do something as simple as address this problem? No they can’t because they are part of the problem, so we keep hearing this issue over and over and over again…
The Supreme Court is NO different. Look again at ObamaCare as the example! And this is gonna get worse, more in their favor because what few decent SC Justices there are left(and they ain’t that good) are leaving shortly and Obama will replace them.
As Nunua said earlier, it only takes the DOJ about hour or so to rewrite any law favorable to these scam artists. Are they gonna take up for the American people? NO, because first and foremost they work for the FEDERAL Government! They are there to benefit them NOT us! Same goes for the Supreme Court!
Sadly it’s a no win situation for us until the house is FORCIBLY cleaned….. Unless you think voting can lead us into righteousness? And that is not possible either!

I think by the time these next 2 years get by, he will have enough people upset, that changing the Constitution to allow that would be very very hard to do. It takes more than just an Executive Order, it takes 3/4 of ALL states to vote for it. And I think if he tries, he is in for a major disaster. Those that were so gung ho on him found out they had a tax increase in 2013, so the lies are starting to crumble.
