New NRA Ad: America Speaks For Itself

When NRA suggested putting armed security in every school across America, mainstream media sharply criticized Wayne LaPierre — calling him everything from “laughable” and “tone deaf” to “whacked,” “evil” and “out of step with America.”

  1. The NRA proposal is for more government (and federal funding) and while the idea of an armed guard in every school is step in the right direction, it doesn’t go far enough and will end up being another ineffective, “feel good” federal program with bloated costs.
One armed person isn’t enough to provide adequate security to a facility the size of most schools.
Israel had some horrific school massacres. Their solution? Train and arm the teachers. It works. They haven’t had a major incident since, despite being surrounded by madmen sworn to kill all Jews and wipe Israel from the face of the planet.
From my point of view, as a father of three and grandfather of 10, if the teachers aren’t willing to take responsibility for the defense of their charges they should find another job and let someone who will defend the children take the position.
The principal in CT bravely tried to defend her students, but she was doomed from the start and had no chance. No matter how anti-gun she may have been (I don’t know), I’d bet at the end she wished she had a gun so she would have had at least a fighting chance. Would she have died anyway? Perhaps, but at least her final bravery wouldn’t have been futile.

  2. The idiocy of the left to be screaming about protecting our children when they are the ones behind the slaughter of approximately 1.4 million babies per year since the passing of Roe vs. Wade simply amazes me.
They care about no one but themselves and their agendas in winning favor with the people tor their re-election.

  3. We would not need armed guards everywhere if we took care of the criminally insane and mental deficients. Real criminals only want your money, etc.

  4. Felons only go where the gun free zone are. We should dis arm our politicians like the schools are with no guns. Would they feel safe then.

  5. I’m in NC and we’ve had SRO’s (School Resource Officers) for years. My granddaughter is a sophmore in college and they were in the schools since she was in middle school. The counties finance them so it’s not a federal program. These officers are screened very well to make sure they fit into a school setting and the kids loved them.

  6. PROUD & SAFE being an NRA member! As a women, I feel sure of myself & have much less fear, than before my Permit !!
    GOD BLESS THESE STATES
