At a press conference, Jones discussed his resolution to oppose American involvement in Syria without first consulting Congress.
His resolution, H.Con. Res. 107, expresses “the sense of Congress that the use of offensive military force by a president without prior and clear authorization of an Act of Congress constitutes an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor under article II, section 4 of the Constitution.”
Jones was responding to the growing potential for direct American involvement in Syria to support the opposition to President Bashar al-Assad.
Just as he was one of the few Republicans opposed to the war in Iraq, Jones again expressed his opposition to a war that would be conducted without the approval of Congress.

It certainly looks like it is a little too late for that. Obama has already sent Patriot Missile battery systems to Turkey to place them along the border between Syria and Turkey. To the best of my knowledge, these systems are rather complex in order to use effectively, and I doubt that the Turkish people without proper training will have any use for them, so, along with the Patriot systems came military personal, that is US military personal.
Want to bet that Obama never asked Congress for permission to do so? Obama is shipping weapons to the Syrian rebels knowing full well that the majority of them are al-Quaida and many radical Muslim extremists that will soon be fighting each other to assume control of Syria if and when Assad is removed from power.
I have little doubt that Obama will send in out Air Force to destroy Assad’s military power and he will do that without Congressional approval, since Congress would be insane to authorize a military strike on Syria, knowing that Russia supports Assad and the Assad regime.
Obama, could care less what happens to America, just as long as he is ultimately able to bring Shari law to whatever is left of this land. The writing on the wall is clear as a church bell ringing on Sunday morning. Unless he is stopped and removed from power, America will soon be living in a nightmare.

Secondly , putting ” a battery of Patriot missiles ” , is not attacking . A Patriot missile is used to take out a incoming missile . They used last month ago in Israel . And , Turkey asked for them when after Assad sent a handful of rockets at Turkey .
Lastly , I’m not taking Hussein’s side , never have , never will . But , you have to understand how our president , Congress , and Senate , in other words , our GOVERNMENT , works .

The reason the men died in Benghazi is Obama supplying weapons through the consulate to the turks to take to Syria.. Dead men don’t talk. One last thing, the Senate would be responsibly in holding the trail if Obama were to have been impeached by the House of Representatives and with Harry Reid in control of the Senate Obama would never be found guilty of anything.
Reid can’t do any part of his job now, so why would we think he would take up a silly little issue like a treasonous president?

WOW…You said what I have been trying to say for a WHILE! Now my question is just HOW do we correct this? How do we take back our country? I am willing to do what I can to help. We need a John Gault! We need someone to lead the ones who believe in our country help take it back. I don’t know enough about the laws and the workings of our government to even start, but I can help if I am told how. I think there are a MULTITUDE of Americans that would gladly do what is needed to help America rebuild itself to the Great Nation it has been in the past.
I was laid off (fired) over 2 years ago from TWO jobs. I never received any unemployment, even though I’m a single Dad with 2 kids living with me. I’ve worked a series of odd jobs since (one that almost killed me), and now those are drying up. I stopped watching the alphabet networks back in ’07 when they openly campaigned for Obama. That includes football games and a few fav shows. I was a Scoutmaster of my son’s (an Eagle Scout) Boy Scout Troop for 8 years until I just couldn’t afford the gas (40-minutes trip)or stress of running it anymore. I went out of my way to augment their “education not received in schools” with history & gov’t lessons. I tried to give them a moral compass. I haven’t gone to see a movie in forever, as I refuse to support Hollyweird. I do have a complete collection of John Wayne’s films, along with some Gary Cooper, Clint Eastwood, Jimmy Stewart, and even a few Ronald Reagans. Recently, I have occationally popped onto NBC, but only to watch Leno. He refuses to hop aboard the Hollyweird Obama bandwagon, and I like to reward him for that. I do my best NOT to vote for career politicians when that option is available. A single-term limit is fine with me. Maybe 2 for POTUS as you simply cannot get anything significant done in 4 years in DC. I think ALL government employees should get the same pay and benefits as the rest of the country. Members of Congress should work 5-day work weeks like everyone else, unless they give up their salaries and work for the good of the country, like the founding fathers. I should point out that Romney offered to donate HIS salary to charity, wheras Obama said he’d give YOURS to…well…others. And I REFUSE to vote for ANYBODY, from ANY party who is not constitutionally eligible for that office! That includes Rubio (who the GOP is starting to parade around) or Jindal. This is not a comment against these people, EXCEPT that they are KNOWN to be ineligible. Period. I think the US should put a temporary moritorium on Immigration until we get our own house in order and fix what’s broken with the system. ALL illegals need to be sent packing, I don’t care how old the were when they crossed the line. If their own 3rd world sh*tholes are so bad, they should stay there and try to fix it (like our founding fathers), instead of sneaking into our country and screwing it up.
You are so right! Lived in Mexico for years. There are jobs there, just no freebies! Yes, they should love their country enough to fight to change it, but every election there winds up the same way. Corruption at every level and all they do is complain also. Illegals are criminals and I agree each and everyone no matter their age needs to go NOW! Their kids know as young as 4 and 5 years of age that they are entering OUR country illegally. Before they came legally, learned the language, got jobs and education. Liberals need to live in a country that appreciates them such as Europe, Venezuela, etc. They would soon want to return here and start living a real life. If they like socialism, go live under socialism; if they like communism, go live in several African countries or even Venezuela, but get out of our country and take your stupidity with you. WOW, Florida Patriot, you have said it all. My thoughts exactly. Someone needs to be doing something, but WHAT? We cannot depend on Congress for anything but to collect their big salaries and perks. It’s not going to be easy to get Obama out of office. Look at the judges who have backed down on the eligibility cases. Are they threatened or bought off?

This fraud should have never been in office in the first place. This lame threat is just that, lame. Impeachment proceedings should have occurred long ago for many things, least of which his legal status as a true American. What happened to the FBI charges which were brought against him. We know impeachment will never happen, no matter how egregious his actions.
