A new anti-Mitt Romney website launched last week, with a massive open letter, dozens of signatures, and a slew of charges against the presumed front-runner for the Republican nomination in 2012.
The letter attacks Romney’s conservative record as a businessman, fiscal issues, gay marriage, abortion, and a host of other issues.
“It is my site and I did write the letter,” Steve Baldwin, former California legislator and current President of Baldwin Research and Consulting, told The Daily Caller.
Baldwin said he’s been collecting “files” on Mitt Romney for about a decade, dating back to his days in the California legislature. It was around that time, Baldwin said, that lawmakers began introducing gay-rights bills in the legislature. What tipped Baldwin off, he said, was the fact that gay-rights activists from Massachusetts were going to California to testify.
When Romney ran for president in 2008, Baldwin said he “knew he wasn’t a conservative,” and accused the candidate of “flip-flopping since his alleged conversion” to social conservatism.

what conservative record. romney is no effing conservative by any stretch of the imagination. calling yourself one does not make you one. romney may be just slightly to the right of the communist in the wh. if he becomes the gop candidate watch the republican party cease to exist as a viable political party because conservatives will leave in droves, imho. also the fraud will win re-election because a 3rd party will form to nominate a real conservative or we will support one of the existing 3rd party conservative candidates. Wrong attitude, if romney is on Repub ticket 60% of the country will vote THIRD party. whether they like it or not.
The fact that Romney and Perry are announcing runs is due to the fact that the GOP leadership is extremely corrupt. I would put them right alongside the Democrats for treasonous acts. Perry is a big fraud for supporting the North American Union, and Romney for preaching against Christian principles. Real Conservatives are belittled by the media, and made to look foolish; I give you Ron Paul for an example. He and Gary Johnson are the only true Conservatives running for the President. Bachmann votes for the Patriot Act, not a Constitution friendly act, and Cain is former Federal Reserve, and pro-immigration activist. My vote goes for Ron Paul; if you want Obama, or someone like him to be in office, then vote for the GOP favorites. Your choice, but no more lesser of two evils for me. I want real change, not the Democrat Lite routine.

Now that you have shown your true colors –as in loving Obamacare, global warming , and being the darling of the Dems for the opposition and other reasons; I would not vote for you for dog catcher. I agree Alexia! I believe there are only two possibilites out there who are honest and courageous conservatives and neither have declared – Sarah Palin and Allen West. Sarah has been denigrated and trashed by the left for over three years. Despite all this she has remained a conserfative with beliefs in God, country, constitution and family and has never compromised. The Republicans threw her under the bus during her VP campaign and still do. Lt. Col. Allen West is formintable – has spoken up loud and clear in his few months as Fla. Rep; his knowledgeable in military affairs (which we need right now – the clown in the WH will get us in WW 3) ; is also knowledgable in Muslim affairs. He is a leader and as of now there are petitions out to draft him. We do NOT NEED Romney (I believe the polls are screwed that say he is a front runner) or Newt or Pawlenty or Perry (Bilderberg) . Both Sarah and West appear have the courage it will take to start to turn this country back to a Republic.
