A U.S. military jury cleared a Navy SEAL Thursday of failing to prevent the beating of an Iraqi prisoner suspected of masterminding a 2004 attack that killed four American security contractors.
The contractors’ burned bodies were dragged through the streets and two were hanged from a bridge over the Euphrates river in the former insurgent hotbed of Fallujah, in what became a turning point in the Iraq war.
The trial of three SEALs, the Navy’s elite special forces unit, in the abuse case has outraged many Americans who see it as coddling terrorists.
A six-man jury found Petty Officer 1st Class Julio Huertas, 29, of Blue Island, Illinois, not guilty of charges of dereliction of duty and attempting to influence the testimony of another service member. The jury spent two hours deliberating the verdict.

A "FAIR" Jury did its work……HIP_ HIP Hooray. Now do your duty and rid us of this black snake in our White House.
Let's hope that Julio believes justice was served promptly and he was assumed innocent properly until proven guilty. Better late than never just isn't a standard to brag about.
Justice has only been set in motion not served properly. http://www.canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/…
"The U.S. military spent five years tracking this barbarian murderer"
" For a while after his capture, Abedm was in Iraqi custody, where it’s apparently legal to smack a guy around who has been murdering people and trying to destroy your country."
" captured terrorists are instructed to claim they were “mistreated or tortured during detention.”
" prosecutors don’t file charges unless two conditions exist:
1. They believe the defendants committed the crimes charged.
2. They are confident they have enough evidence to convict the defendants.
"It would be unethical for a prosecutor to charge someone with a crime that the prosecutor did not believe the person had committed."
The U.S. American Militar branches are the most honorable, brave, worthy, efficient public institutions that portrait The American Moral and Character.
The people in two of the three branches of government are the one's who should be on trial for lying under oath when they all swore to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States. These extremely brave Navy Seals should have never been subjected to this rediculous trial in Bagdad. Let's see if I understand this. Our president wants to try a terrorist who was the mastermind behind the plans that killed over 3000 Americans on 9/11 and give him all the rights of an American citizen, yet our military people who are in harms way everyday fighting for our freedom are not afforded the same rights to a trial in the United Strates. This Commander in Chief is a joke!!!
Thank God, while we still can legally, this mess (read: farce) is finally over. These SEALs did NOT deserve such treatment and disrespect. They were never GUILTY of the charges brought against them. It wasn't the SEALs who brought shame on our nation, but instead it was those who pushed for them to be brought up on charges. War is hell and not for the weak of heart or sissies. Nor the far left and their media, as it would appear by all the actual evidence they have created. GO NAVY! from San Diego.
IN THE TODAY'S OBAMA- REGIME,IT IS RARE THAT AMERICANS ARE TREATED TO FAIR JUSTICE FOR ONCE DURING THIS IN" HOUSE -"REGIME", WE HAVE SEEN THE ONLY SERVICE THAT IS HONORABLE AND TRUSTWORTHY PERFORM ITS RIGHTFUL DUTY.
MAY GOD PROTECT THE UPCOMING TRIAL OF COL.LINKY AND IN THE PROCESS DEMAND THAT OBAMA PROVE "ELIGIBILITY" IN " DISCOVERY." BY THE DEFENSE.
EAT YOUR HEART OYT OBAMA—THAT IS ,IF YOU EVEN HAVE ONE.
