MSNBC/Politico Bigots Call Florida Panhandle ‘Cracker Counties’

The elites in the media just hate white southerners. The hate shines in this video when these MSNBC commentators refer to the panhandle of Florida as “Cracker Counties.” The Urban Dictionary defines a cracker as: “Slang word used to refer to those of European ancestry. The word is thought to have either derived from the sound of a whip being cracked by slave owners, or because crackers are generally white in color.”

The word doesn’t have a positive connotation.

This is no more ok than it is to call predominately black areas n-word areas! This is disgusting.

I am an American of Scottish-Irish decent.
Those people can cal me a “cracker” anytime they want to waste their useless breath.
Their thoughts are insignificant to me.
And the word cracker means no more to me than a snack food.
It’s mind or matter. If I don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.
And what they say doesn’t matter!

This so called “reporter” has once again exposed the liberal hypocrisy to the light of day. It’s OK to use racist, hateful, bigoted words if you are a liberal, and aren’t using them against a minority or a gay. In some cases of course, it is OK for a liberal to use these terms against a minority such as reid saying obama didn’t have a “negro dialect unless he wanted to have one”. Or it’s ok for obama to say his grandmother was a “typical white woman”.

What do you suppose would happen if he were to call a black county the “tar baby” county? Or a Mexican county the “beaner” county. He’d be fired, but since this isn’t about a minority he’ll get away with it and won’t be man enough to apologize.

The term “Cracker,” while now more widely known as a derogatory term for rural whites, has a more specific–and less insulting–definition in Florida. The Florida Crackers are whites of Celtic descent who first settled South Florida around the mid-eighteenth century. Crackers usually migrated to the Florida Everglades from Alabama, Georgia, and the Carolinas, drawn to the fertile land for ranching and farming, and to the peninsula’s plentiful resources for fishing.

This is pretty outrageous! They should be fired, and those who allowed it to be broadcast should be, too!!! Look, if media professionals can be fired for using the “N” word or Pat Buchannon can be canned for what he wrote in his book, then these folks are very eligible for the same!!! Prime candidates!!!
