If you were in the presence of a man having a heart attack, how would you respond? As he clutched his chest in desperation and pain, would you call 911? Would you try to save him from dying? Of course you would.
But if that man was Rush Limbaugh, and you were Sarah Spitz, a producer for National Public Radio (update: Spitz was a producer for NPR affiliate KCRW for the show Left, Right & Center), that isn’t what you’d do at all.
In a post to the list-serv Journolist, an online meeting place for liberal journalists, Spitz wrote that she would “Laugh loudly like a maniac and watch his eyes bug out” as Limbaugh writhed in torment.
In boasting that she would gleefully watch a man die in front of her eyes, Spitz seemed to shock even herself. “I never knew I had this much hate in me,” she wrote. “But he deserves it.”
Spitz’s hatred for Limbaugh seems intemperate, even imbalanced. On Journolist, where conservatives are regarded not as opponents but as enemies, it barely raised an eyebrow.

Tea Party activities last year included a protest in front of ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN. Limbaugh and others routinely demonstrate that the left happens to use the exact same languiage to describe ongoing stories and indicates collusion in reporting news etc… I can only hope that whistle blowers can find the other e-mail records of more mainstream journalists as they likely exist somewhere.

NPR has a liberal slant and since it is somewhat government funded there is no place for hatred wishing and celebrating a broadcaster like Limbaugh death. Perhaps complaints to the FCC would be in order because even if nothing is done now, after November elections there could be changes and definitely after Obama gets impeached and replaced since it is unlikely he will be untouched by his serious legal problems that keep mounting up.

Although I love talk radio, and love listening to Rush, if they ended talk radio tomorrow, it wouldn't matter. It wouldn't change what I believe. It wouldn't change how I vote. What are these people going to do? Force me to listen to NPR?

I think what Spitz says borders on hate speech and she should be charged with a crime. Clearly she is deranged and could represent a danger to law abiding conservatives, she may need to be on a terrorist watch list, since she might be fanatical enough to be a suicide bomber and try to take out a a conservative talk show host.

It is PAST time to pull the plug on ALL government dollars to public broadcasting, radio and television! Let them compete with the rest of the industry! Our tax dollars should not be going toward programming that is aimed AGAINST the principles of our founding fathers. And I'm quite sure Ms. Pottymouth is earning big bucks at NPR!
Somehow this disclosure doesn't surprise me…the arrogance of the 'elite' toward ordinary hard-working Americans is evident in their reporting, whether written or broadcast. I always figured they were filthy-minded. However, if they want to call someone evil, they ought to look themselves in the mirror before speaking those words!

I agree with all that you say. It is my opinion that the NPR should dismiss her for her comments.
In regards to the actual article in the Daily Caller, these people are at best stupid, not because they don't know anything about our Founding Documents, but because they think we don't. For example, Jonathan Zasloff, a law professor at UCLA, suggested that the FCC simply pull Fox News' broadcasting permit once it expires. First, that's a gross violation of the First Amendment, second, Fox News does not have a broadcasting permit, they only provide the content to the actual broadcasters. This moron actually teaches law? Maybe he's not the moron, maybe he's a genius that convinced a university made up of morons that he's qualified for that position.

After the election I canceled ABC CBS and have never had NBC because I despise that outfit.
