Home builder for 40 years. I have seen every type of human being from wonderful folks on social security who barely scrape by but manage to live good, honest, productive lives to 30 year old mothers of 5 who take in $48000.00 in welfare benefits and curse the system that pays them this outrageous money. I have been pencil-whipped by more IRS agents than I care to remember. In the late 70's and early 80's I was very discouraged by the shape this country was in. Interest rates in the low 20's, terrible inflation, Jimmy Carter. I was told that interest rates would never be back where they had been. Russia was in ascension and we were in descension (were we ever). It looked bad. And yet look what happened in 10 short years! It was not just Ronald Reagan, although he deserves a large measure of credit. It was just a touch of conservative ideas put in place by a man who loved this country. The country is in much worse shape today but RR was only able to do a little. bit of what is possible. I hope and pray it's not too late. It can be done but someone must use some desperate measures..
