They let the student go protest, they don't have school for days and then they say it is for the "Children" Excuse me you just taught them it was OK to skip school and its OK to get fake excuses to cover your absence from your JOB. TEACHING. All for collective bargaining for crazy things like Viagra and paying the same as the Private Sector for Health care and retirement. "All men are created equal" I wish it was "All people are created equal". Get over it we all have important jobs, and just because you are a educator does not make you special. Or the smartest person in the room.
And of course I must add the Distraction statement that is now part of my signiture more here. "Birth Certificate" Wooop there it is a trillion dollar distraction

The local school districts decide on it not the unions. What is his salary and benefits?????????? People want to know!!!!1

That wasn't an interview, it was a reading of talking points by a smallball Union President. The Union President convinced me that this is Not about the kids. Megan asks valid questions while the Union President runs away from them. The proof of corruption and dishonesty to me is that the Union President cannot and will not answer a direct question posed to him. Not once did he directly answer any question! He needs to grow a set and stand on his itty bitty convistions "for the Children" my a$s. Can anyone tell us how having teachers pay into their own retirement and medical programs effect the child's learning experience?
Typical union rep, can't answer a very simple question. Has to give a speil over everything. He is worried about losing his big salary and benefits if the unions go under. Unions are a fraud and are NOT in it for the betterment of anyone but their own paychecks and progressive agendas. They could care less about the kids in the schools. Scott Walker was elected by the people to cut the spending of the State so it would not go broke. He is trying to do that. The Democratic reps of the state that are refusing to return to do their jobs need to be impeached by the people for failure to do their jobs. All they have to do is vote. Are they so afraid they will lose that vote that they will not return. That is what a Democracy is all about and if its not done the way the Democrats want it, they run and hide.? How pathetic is that?

Who elected the NEA to represent our views and means to fix our schools? I didn't! Socialist institutions have this grand idea that they know better what is good for the rest of us, and have little grasp of our Constitutional Republic, and who is actually in charge. Communism is now rampant in our unions and government, and it is time to rid our nation of this element. Let them learn how this nation is designed, and not try to copy the failed Communist rhetoric. This is also why we should never allow children to vote, and many of these people have never matured since they left high school.
As so succinctly stated by Stephen, King of Ireland, "just answer the phooking question".

system is being run and how "the children" are not even getting a basic education but the unions are raking in the money by forcing every teacher to pay them dues.
The cost for education is rising faster than the normal rate of inflation and we still have stupid children. Well money is not the answer is it?

Gusty reporter who got to the main points. The illegal tactics involved in all of this shows the corruption of the union machine. In the real world a NO Call No Show for even one day can lead to being fired. Definitely for two days. Fake notes from a doctor, their license should be investigated, legislator out of state: abandoned their district of representation and should be replaced and or fined/arrested for violating their oath of office.
Urge Gov. Walker to fire any union teacher on strike and hire non-union. We need to outlaw all unions.

It takes that much money and benefits to read some books to the kids?
So what was the prescription that the doctor gave them?
Does their medical plan cover the prescription?
Are they taking the recommended doses?
Did they schedule a follow up appt.?
Is it going to be documented in their records?

For the children my eye it was obvious this guy is a crook just like the teachers and doctors leaving their jobs and committing fraud on top of everything else. What an example to set for the children. Like the democratic senators running away and hiding not doing the job they were elected to do. Fine –if they refuse to negotiate with the Governor then fire the whole bunch of them –senators too.
Ms. Kelly gets right to it . No softball questions from her .I think she is a MUCH better interviewer than O'Reilly , hands down . She doesn't take any crap . Of course , FOX has Geraldo , who never saw an illegal alien he didn't like , and Schleppy Smith , but I suppose that's part of fair and balanced . I'm still waiting for that NICE looking young man , umm , oh yeah , Maddow , to have Ann Coulter on MSLSD . I'd PAY to see that . GHT

He states that the Republicans are not talking but when the Democrats had control for 15 months prior they would not correct the problem . Also this idiot wants smaller class size? What does he want one teacher for each student, this state has one of the highest per student cost but they rate as one of the dumbest.

Wrong, Mr. Union! The Union does NOTHING to improve the quality of education. They don't give a rat's derriere about the kids. They have made that quite clear. They're all about the MONEY. The majority of teachers are unfit to be in the classroom. They are responsible for the "dumbing down" of America. People need to take their kids out of public schools.
Not all teachers are bad….. We must look at the parents too. If a child growing up is given responsibilities at home to do, they will follow that same pattern through life. When they are in school during their first year… if a parent doesnt act interested in what they do and help those that need help… all is lost. A teach can only do so much if a child is not movitated… and that motivated come FIRST from the home. All too often teachers are blamed for this…. now there are a mountain of teachers who should be in another profession… cause they dont have the patience or endurance to help a child who needs help. There are bad teachers but also bad parents…. but the child is blamed.
There was this one kid who went to school… he was in the 8th or 9th grade. He got up early and was there on time for his first class… The supt.. ask him why he never stayed the rest of the day but came to that one morning class. His reply —- He liked that class and the teacher. The teacher made it interesting enough that he wanted to be there. Not so the other teachers. But whether or not a kid likes a class, he is there to learn, and that motivation not only should come from the parent FIRST then the teacher… otherwise.. all is lost. If a child is taught to pay attention at home… and is helped with his lessons he is not able to understand, then the parent needs to hire a high school student to help him with his lessons at least twice a week. When a child is sitting in the class and doesnt know the answer to something, he will never ask about it for fear of being embarrassed. A student helper will help him tremendously besides his/her parent.
