MEMPHIS, Tenn. (CBSDC) — A medical company is blaming President Obama’s health care law for the layoffs of nearly 100 people.
Smith & Nephew says a 2.3 percent excise tax on medical devices in the “Obamacare” law caused the layoffs in the Memphis and Andover, Mass., offices.
“The nearly $30 billion tax on medical devices that took effect Jan. 1, 2013, has impacted a number of companies across the U.S.,” the company said in a statement to WHBQ-TV.

Surprized? President Obama believes that the government is the best way to do anything. He wants to nationalize everything including the medical device companies. He can only do this if he gets them to close or get in over their heads financially. Then he can declare an emergency and nationalize them by executive order. The auto company bailouts were a glance to the future, except that episode was more of a payoff to his unions.
Obamacare is gonna do irreparable damage to this nation, but Obama doesn’t care. “The devil laughs with glee.”
We’ve read the bill, know what’s in it, NOW you can dump it.
Wish I could buy Obama for what he’s really worth.. and sell him for what he THINKS he worth… I wouldnt have to work a day in my life…. Wonder what idiot told him he was a genius.
Obama will say…. “we have to give it time to work” he knows he made a big mistake.. but one thing for sure.. he will never admit it… when you RUSH into some project such as he did.. it’s doomed to failure..
