Marco Rubio Pushes Back At Colin Powell’s Diversity Criticism Of Republican Party

Marco Rubio Official SC Marco Rubio pushes back at Colin Powell’s diversity criticism of Republican Party

Appearing on “The Andrea Tantaros Show” this morning, Sen. Marco Rubio pushed back at Colin Powell’s contention on “Meet the Press” that the GOP has “a dark vein of intolerance in some parts of the party.”

“I disagree with General Powell’s assessment of the Republican Party today,” Rubio said.

“The Republican Party is the party that [has] placed two Hispanics in the U.S. Senate,” Rubio told Tantaros, “and we have an African-American senator in the United States Senate.”

  1. Sounds anti-white to me.
    Both Rubio and especially Powell.
What Rubio doesn’t seem to get is the fact that white people was the ones that got him elected. Or maybe he should look at the % of blacks and Hispanics that voted for him. Rubio doesn’t owe Powell or the others anything except following US Constitutional Law.

    • Surprise they are anti white and so are liberals and they elected some one that hates whites and he and his wife told us so, but the liberals wouldn’t believe it. His book and her college thesis are proof of it and the various youtube articles. Powell I think is finally using his blackness to bow to the soetoro aka durham aka obama (what exactly is his last name, you don’t know as he still has his $3m records sealed and why is that?). Whites are the minorities and check out the illegals muslims that obama and holder let the union members bussing them to vote , Push the #3 fon your phone or speaking in Arabic if you live in MI welfare system to get your benefits and they all have over 4 wifes and we are supporting the extra 4 wifes and their up to 30 kids. Since obama was sued by13 different states for voter id fraud (after he surrendered his law license for fraud in IL). Powell is just had too much power and is basking in just like the obama person that he gave the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood that killed our ppl $4.5 billion in 2012. Obama is your dictator and he isnt following any constitution and watch we will all be bowing and our kids and grandkids will be working for China. Let the illegal mexicans become citizens as we are supporting them any way and they can may be pay some taxes and stop all those benefits they get a lot more then any US citizen.

      • @sloegin
        Oh you are so right!
But trying to get many people here to see what we just said is practically impossible. They’re anti-white alright, and anti-American. Problem is people here and throughout society is all bent over itself trying to prove it isn’t racist by electing anti-white politicians. And the poor souls are so ignorant and arrogant they can’t see, much less admit to what they are doing, but they can surly bite your head off in attacking anyone who disagrees with them, even mildly…

I read a report that Rubio agrees with BO to give 12 million illegals citizenship. What is it about “illegal” that Rubio, BO and the rest don’t understand? Their job is to uphold our laws. They are blatantly breaking what they swore to uphold. What gets me is it is the illegals here in power who are breaking our laws and they get a free pass to do so.

        • I am a Hispanic by birth Betta, and the problem here is that in the majority the illegal do not speak English, don’t have and education or trade, so once legalized, they make more money living from the US government, than working, and that is a fact.. If legalized, we will be carrying a bigger burden, because we will have to take care of the ones that just got legalize and the new wave of illegal that come in to replace them. It have happen after every amnesty given and will happen again, because we can not believe the promises of enforcement from the government.

  2. I predicted that Rubio would go this route and be on the side of illegals, because of his heritage. He seems as though he is not thinking about jobs for Americans. This is a step for votes when he runs for POTUS. If a bill were passed to give illegals amnesty it would not be long before they again turn our system against the US and demand to be reimbursed all the pay owed them retroactive to the time they were hired.

    • Marco has always been for a structured amnesty. He wanted them to work for it. Not just hand it to them.

      • To be a natural born, you have to be born in America and Rubio, as far as I know, was born here from Cuban parents. I do not agree with his views on immigration and as a Hispanic also, I know that the illegals, if legalized, will not vote Republican, they will join and vote for the party of the free giving, and that is the Democratic party.
Ronald Reagan gave amnesty in 1986, my question to you is, how many of those legalized them join the Republican party or voted Republican? the answer is NONE, and it will be the same now. They will need to keep milking the system, and the only one that let them do it, is the Democrats.

    • He can’t run for president. He’s not natural born. Both parents must be US citizens, and as with BO, this is not the case. If I remember correctly, even Rubio himself stated as much.

I know one damn thing for sure. ALL candidtates must go through rigorous vetting, all records MUST be available and birth certificate to be heavily scrutinized. No more illegal aliens in the white house.

      • I agree. However, the precedence has been set by the Democrat Party when they illegally put Obama on the ballot in 2008 and again in 2012. There is nothing they can say if Rubio does run for president. Enough said, end of subject.

Wanna bet if Rubio does run for President, the Dems will stop him in his tracks…. unlike they did Obama. What I dont understand is the ‘about face’ of the Clintons…. now they think Obama is GOD! And time will tell if Obama tried to run for a 3rd term, when Hillary wants to run…

  3. The GOP is clearly priming Rubio as a front-runner in ’16. Unlike Obama, Rubio’s records are known. Both his parents were Cuban citizens when he was born. He is NOT eligible for POTUS, and therefore Vice-POTUS. But they will run him anyway no doubt to appease and garner the hispanic special-interest vote. As usual, the GOP didn’t learn their lessons with the past amnesties. Personally, I’m damn tired of having to “appease” all these divisive splinter groups of various heritages. We need to lose all the hyphenated names. You’re either American or not. Rubio is pro-amnesty, and also voted for the NDAA. While there are far worse RINOs in the Senate, anyone the GOP puts forward now is suspect.
