LOS ANGELES (AP) — The California man behind a crudely produced anti-Islamic video that has inflamed parts of the Middle East was arrested Thursday for violating terms of his probation, authorities said.
Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, 55, has been on probation for a 2010 federal check fraud conviction that brought a 21-month prison sentence. Under terms of his probation, he was not to use computers or the Internet for five years without approval from his probation officer.
Nakoula was taken into custody Thursday, said U.S. Attorney’s spokesman Thomas Mrozek.
A U.S. District Court hearing was scheduled for Nakoula on Thursday afternoon. It was closed to media and the public.
Protests have erupted around the Middle East over a 14-minute trailer for the film “Innocence of Muslims” that depicts Prophet Muhammad as a womanizer, religious fraud and child molester. Though the trailer was posted to YouTube in July, the violence didn’t break out until Sept. 11 and has spread since.

The VID or TRAILER was NOT the reason for the attack of the embassy. They are using the EXCUSE that he abused parole but we all know it’s B.S.!!! nice try OBummer! We know you want to set an example of what will happen to anyone who does anything you do NOT agree with or allow. Just wait and see how these things become the Norm if he is still in the WH another 4 yrs. Expect small business being closed down because OBummer doesn’t like something the owner might say etc. Or someone says something negative about him, Just watch that person being taken out of their home in the middle of the night and thrown in a cell. I watched it. Thought it was seriously funny. Only told the truth but of course muslims can`t handle the truth. just look at obama ha hasn`t told the truth about anything. Course Christians are infidels and muslims are required to lie to infidels so the truth will never be heard from a muslim. They only understand guns, bulletts and dying.
Yes, if this had been an anti-Christian or anti-Semite film the media would have been hailing it as “artistic genius”, but woe to anyone who speaks against islam. Hypocrites. I seriously doubt this man would have even been questioned about violating his probation if it had not been for the film being used (and I do mean USED) as the excuse for obama’s failed Middle East policies. The fact that four Americans died because of those failed policies, is merely a “bump in the road” according to our fearless leader.
Although Nakoula had other concerns, at least THIS TIME, he chose to do a positive, much pro-Chrisian/pro-American act and is paying the former piper his dues. The flick is a worse-than-a Saturday Night Live” routine, but since he revealed the truthism of islamic teachings…they’re going to yse hin as an example to defer others. Sounds like the authorities are paying homage to BO.
Of course they are. If we have another four years of obama, expect the Constitution to be a pile of ashes before the end of the first year.

This is an act to limit our freedom of speech. Muslims have been at the whitehouse trying to get negative things against Alah and Mohamad a crime and should be punished. Just this last week people.. We are losing our freedom because of the muslim in the whitehouse. This man was not arrested for that reason it was because he made the video. This is just another step toward americans losing our freedom…pure and simple…And we are not protesting . we set like fish in a fish bowl doing nothing…
Yeah , he didn’t get the o.k. from his parole officer . So they arrested him . Right after the ” Muslim Brotherhood ” president of Egypt came to speak at the U.N. assembly . At that speech , he ordered Hussein to arrest that man for that video . And , I believe it was three people who said the same thing . Of course , Hussein went to the U.N. to speak , and then he said that it was free speech , but , then , comes out and said that the video was a no no . At least 10 times too ! And , not once , did he say that the people who killed our people in the Embassy , was the act of terrorists . Then he gave an apology for the video . And , then , Hussein came out and said that it was a terrorist act against us . After two weeks . Then , last Thursday , he can out with saying that it was the video again . And , he finally sent the F.B.I. to secure the Embassy . Which , why ? And does he realize that they won’t be able to find clues now ? Too many people went there and took what was left , and too many finger prints . And , this isn’t the U.S. , the F.B.I. was sent to Libya , who do you think they can arrest ?
All this brings one question that we must ask , what is Hussein hiding ? Now after almost three weeks , we found out that they already knew that it was a terrorist attack , from Al Qeada . And the Libyan government said it was a planned attack too . So what is Hussein hiding ?!?
Prepare people, we may have war soon. They could cut electricity, Grocery stores closed. Prepare it he wins or if he does not. I don’t think most will believe he won, he has rigged the votes. One of his top backers (Soros) bought the company that counts our votes and they are based in Spain. This has been kept very quite. He will not leave and we will have to fight. Get a gun if don’t have one while can still buy one to protect your family if it comes down to that now. I pray to God this does not happen but not good. Worse time in my life, this makes intergration of schools seem like nothing. They closed some schools and forced us all in one building and we were just kids. Thankfully small town and most of us had grown up and played together. We had just heard too much talk.
