On January 1, 2011, a law banning certain “ethnic studies” classes went into effect in Arizona. The law makes it illegal for a school district to teach courses which “promote the overthrow of the US government, promote resentment of a particular race or class of people, are designed primarily for students of a particular ethnic group, or advocate ‘ethnic solidarity’ instead of the treatment of pupils as individuals.”
But it was not the ever-compassionate, ethnicity-conscious left which wrote and implemented legislation making it a crime to teach violence and racism. Rather, the law was passed by the Republican-controlled Arizona legislature and signed by the State’s Republican governor.
And the left is fit to be tied over it!
According to one liberal professor, the Arizona legislature has committed “ethnocide,” or more properly “ethnonormativity” by implementing a law which hopes to preserve some semblance of sanity in Arizona schools. As the professor puts it, the law “takes the teachings of one culture—the colonizer’s—and makes it the standard version of history while literally banning other accounts, turning the master narrative into the ‘normal’ one…”
In short, the evil “colonizing white man” has once again trodden mistreated Chicanas and Chicanos underfoot, preventing them learning the true history of their struggles with the white devil slave master by making such studies illegal.
No kidding; that’s really what the professor believes as he calls the Arizona statute “a potent example of legislative bigotry and open persecution of people based on…race and class.”
Nor is he alone in ranting over the purportedly ghastly mistreatment of illegal—that is, undocumented–immigrants who simply want value for their taxpayer funded educations.
Throughout the internet, liberals are outraged that Arizona legislators would even consider putting an end to classes simply because they teach the benefits of revolution against the United States or the justifiable hatred of whites.
And apparently, this is precisely what has been going on in classrooms in Tucson and around the state. For on two occasions the law has been tested in court, once last year and again in January. And in both cases, judges have ruled against the Tucson Unified School District, making it clear that evidence introduced by the state of unlawful classroom antics is true.
Clearly, teachers have been promoting racial resentment, suggesting revolt against the government, and instructing children that hatred of whites is altogether justified. And the American left not only applauds such sparkling lessons plans, they are passionate about them continuing!
Were positions reversed and white students taught to hate and resent blacks or Mexicans, would the left furiously lobby to overturn a law passed to correct the situation?
A federal judge has just taken under advisement a lawsuit filed by two Mexican students seeking to have the law declared unconstitutional. Apparently, the left will continue its process of appeal until it has found a dependable, liberal activist in robes who will be pleased to overturn the work of the legislature. And that won’t be anything new, will it?!

We, the Arizonans For Border Control, had 3 of our members that are researchers into the La Raza Studies, discover textbooks being taught to our children, some starting at 3rd. grade. Once we brought the attention of the TUSD board, as well as the Atty. Gen, to some of these teachings, they did the right thing by banning the books/classes. Some of the books advocated violent overthrow of our govt. as well as taking back parts of Az., Calif and New Mex. by force. Making statements like “kill the Gringo” and “send them back to Europe”. These proponents of La Raza are traitors/terrorists and extend throughout our schools, Universities and govt. Raul Grijalva is an example and has been accused of taking Mex. Cartel bribes. Guerrero and Ruiz, both reps in Az. govt. are also proponents of La Raza.

I thought it was very interesting that, while researching this piece on the web I found dozens of articles written by leftists talking about how racist the legislature was but not ONE which gave any details on what was actually being TAUGHT in any of these classes! And CNN, FOX and others would not go into it either.
Doug, not true! I saw the whole story on FOX, it talked all about LaRaza, too! I’m thinking,Texas will eventually break from the states, we’ve had enough of Holder and Obama, hey! we’ll run the state by “we the people!”, we have everything we need, why send money to Washington, so they can steal it, and give it to their friends that tow the line! Texas would be the 12th Industrial nation in the world! U can have Obama, Holder , the voting illegals,lazy blacks, all the ones that pay taxes, Wink! I used to wonder why it was that secretive groups roamed around at night murdering and terrorizing people. That was when I was young and stupid and it was a long time ago. Now I believe I understand it quite well, since this nation has been plagued with Obama and the other Communist ferrets. If a people can get rid of those who seek to destroy a great nation with little fuss and bother, it is probably a good plan. I wonder if any American citizens have considered this method of ridding the nation of this current litter of vermin.
Argentina and El Salvador experienced something of this kind of vigilante justice. La Mano Blanco was feared by any who were corrupt and especially those who were able to defy the law. To a degree, it was effective.

Americans today, patriotic, freedom loving Americans, want to educate the population about the values they should embrace, like freedom and liberty. If you want to find racism, try Latin America. The more Spanish you are, the higher your position. The more Native American or African, S%@t outta luck. If these kids want to learn about their history, teach them about the evil coward, Santa Ana. Teach them about how the U.S. helped them to, finally, win their independence from the French. Teach them to learn math, science and damned english, so that they can succeed in this country and stop whining.

We have a “citizen army” working the border. I’m a member of the Az Border Defenders and I’m on the Search and Rescue team. We patrol the border, assisting BP in many ways. When we interdict Illegals and/or drugs, we hold them until they show up and take em’ off our hands. We also have many trails covered with cameras that you can see by going to our website:www.arizonaborderdefenders.com. We’ve actually had BP go on patrol with us to see how we set up our cameras. I personally, have worked with 2 other grps. that do similar stuff but the ABD is alot more organized and we have a great working relationship with Law Enf. And we can always use more help from dedicated patriots.
These liberal professors and of course the liberal media don’t seem to have a problem with teaching courses in how to overthrow the US government. Wonder how these same liberals would feel about teaching courses in how to overthrow the liberal professors and the liberal media?
Unfortunately the 60s radicals that took over the universities and their students are legion. Only way is to defund and close it all down for about 5 generations. Also required, wrest public school system out of union and federal hands. Community schools, no federal funding. Or let every parent select and pay for private school — or create their own groups of private schools. Diversity is good.

I began college in teacher ed; the courses were so weird, uninformed, contrary to reality that I dropped t.ed. Always felt the problem was mine but now I see that I was ahead of my time.
Anyone that wants to take what is the truth of OUR nation, OUR history and OUR rights to spread someone else’s so called story, is not a patriotic American and is ignorant! The mexicans can tell their story however they like somewhere else, because they have ingraciated themselves into OUR nation all too much and we are sick of it.
