Where I live it is spreading but hasn’t gotten me and hope it doesn’t
I am a nurse and I have been taking care of people who got the flu shot and then got this terrible flu along with pneumonia, bronchitis and sinusitis. Seems that this year’s flu shot did not protect against the strain going around. Yet, the media is saying to “get the flu shot anyway”. Give me a break. If the flu shot didn’t work then why should people get it? I don’t get the flu shot anymore because I am too sensitive to the preservative it comes in. Still, I have yet to get the flu in many years. I do a couple of things to help ward it off: Use Smart Mouth mouthwash daily and Halo spray when you are in public during flu season. Keep your hands clean and keep them off your face until you wash them. The mouth wash has zinc in it and it helps to keep viruses from sticking around when you breath them in. I can attest that this works.
I have had the flu one time and one time only in my life and that was when I was approx 23 years old.
